  1. Ditto. Watching TV without sub-titles can prove difficult, especially if the speaker(s) happen to be female. I can still hear Big Bazza White clearly enough though. πŸ—£οΈ πŸ‘‚πŸ»πŸ«¨
  2. Very tasty bass and a good, clear overview. Cheers Dan.
  3. You might want to change your heading to 'Rupert' rather than 'Robert' in case any member is searching?
  4. And the not-so-great Music Ground. (Also no more).
  5. Tremendous stuff. This is exactly the kind of boat that floats my music. Thanks for putting this one up. πŸ‘πŸ˜Ž
  6. Agree with @binky_bass. Photos please?
  7. Very best wishes for those dates @Linus27
  8. Get thee 2 Bergantino 1x12 cabs and they'll handle the low B all night long.
  9. To wit, two twos.
  10. Got to say, I also love a Ripper. Mine must have been gigged into the high hundreds by now.
  11. To answer your question re the bridge pickup: there is a fair punch from it. If you're not getting that from yours, have you tried raising the pickup height a little? I mostly play through an Aguilar 751 or a Tone Hammer or a Tone Hammer DI, and I find that a little boost on the bass and mid helps greatly. Good luck.
  12. MPV fiver - love it, love it, love it! Would I gig it? Yes indeedy.
  13. That name reminds me of Allstrum and Bangit, another vanished emporium methinks?
  14. Regularly travel from Glasgow to Edinburgh on the train with bass in original hard case and haven't experienced any grief whatsomenever.
  15. Agree with final sentence. Our guitarer is spuriously ineffectual.
  16. Yep, Chas. Foulds, down Irongate.
  17. Agree with this comment. It seems that if they are 'money-driven', more gigs might be the 'carrot', but if they are not really into the music your band plays, or/and if they just can't be bothered to put more effort in (for whatever reason(s)), nothing is likely to change, unless open, honest discussion leads to a solution to a perceived problem on their part, that until now, you are unaware of. Good luck Mike, it might be a case of flogging a dead horse otherwise.
  18. Hello to you from non-American Scotland. Hope you enjoy this site. You are most welcome.
  19. I have a Fender USA P5 and the 'B' string sounds very good to my ears. It's also around 9lbs, so not a back-breaker. Here it is on the right.
  20. No, I'm talking about Hobgoblin.
  21. In the Edinburgh branch this week - really bad if you play bass.
  22. Best wishes to you Lee. Time's the great healer and at 51, you've got lots of dreams still to chase.
