  1. Very fine. Hopefully a keeper?
  2. Welcome to you.
  3. It's sometimes a hit or miss playing an amplified ABG indoors. I've done gigs with no problem and three weeks later in the same venue, it's like a banshee has moved in. Sometimes, the banshee appears in the middle of a song and never returns? I play an Ovation Elite V and always use multiple plugs - the bass has about a million sound-holes of differing sizes and to be honest, I'm not too sure they make all that much difference in the end. Anyhow, best of luck in your quest.
  4. We have a member called Balls? Oh, I see. 👀
  5. Does it approximate DB sounds or still sound a acoustic bass guitar? It certainly looks purty.
  6. This exactly. Oh, for a subtle wash of Hammond.
  7. The music trade is taking a serious kicking at the moment. Sad times. There were so many independents and brands when my journey began.
  8. It's the weight of the seventies' bass that gets you.
  9. I was trying my hardest Terry. Soz.
  10. Kevin, I salute you. Very, very classy. I envy you your obvious talent. To think I was in Motherwell yesterday and had no idea I was orbiting genius! 👍
  11. Too far for me, but best wishes for a success on the day. I know Neeps, I know. 😁
  12. As above, welcome indeed. I'm now intrigued by your 'big negative'. Have you posted about it yet?
  13. Agree. Best octaver imho.
  14. That looks lovely. GLWTS
  15. Nah. By playing a reverse fretless surely.
  16. Looks very tasty that does. Hat is firmly off to you 👍
  17. Most excellent bass Dude!
  18. Hello to you and very best wishes for your adventure in Bassland.
  19. I like them, although shed tears when they develop abrasion lines. Coating (Pedulla Pentabuzz) seems to give a slight boost to the amount of treble and a hard-to-define 'crispness' to the attack. As an aside, I once witnessed some guy destroy a coated board on a fretless during an impromptu (mine's bigger than yours) slap-fest in Sound Control. The board resembled a broken window, so don't if you're primarily a whakka-whakka bod, would be my advice.
  20. I met him in a pub one night. Only compensation was, he ended up with the biggest rig in the world. OK, I'll get my coat.
