1. ONly the Dredgetone Angler and the [sfx] Black Dragon remain. Get yourself a bargain and buy tonight to have it before the weekend!
2. Okay, time for another pedal sale to thin out the herd. Here's the deal: 1. All prices include shipping to the UK or EU. Anywhere else I will quote you a shipping price. 2. All items ship the next working day after I get payment. 3. PayPal is preferred. 4. No trade offers. 5. Boxes manuals etc are included if I have them. All pedals have velcro on the bottom. Lets kick this pig: DredgeTone Bass Angler - lovely bass overdrive. New generation with better printing on the box etc. Overdrive afficiandos really rate this pedal. It does low gain to balls out with no low end loss. I use my BJFE Blueberry so have this pedal covered. £100 [sfx] Micro Black Dragon distortion - one of Max's excellent micro pedals, this one is a distortion with two different clipping settings and a wickedly versitile tone control. It doesn't do low gain, but it does everything from mid gain to almost fuzzlike distortion. I just don't find myself using this much distortion so thought I would pass it on. £75 Analogman Chorus with deep switch - hands down the best best bass chorus you can buy. Why am I selling? I have the mini version on the way in, otherwise there is no way I'd sell this. There simply is no competition. £SOLD 3 Leaf Audio Groove Regulator - the original version. Excellent envelope filter with heaps of flexibility and a great built in effects loop for including a fuzz in the loop. Selling as I have a Fromel etched Proton on the way and don't need 2 filters. £SOLD Darkglass Harmonic Booster preamp - bass preamp and booster with heaps of gain on tap and flexibile tone settings . Lots of lovely clean boost and the ability to do a little bit of grit too. Just don't find myself using it. £SOLD Subdecay Echobox delay - a cool delay with the ablity to add in modulation as well. Well built, sounds great. Got replaced by my TCE Flashback and I am not a huge delay user so this ones on the block. £SOLD Picture: Any questions - drop me a PM. All pedals work perfectly (of course). Mark
3.
Ethics is a touch subject im afraid. Everyone will have their personal view on it. For example, I rarely will take any notice of an endorsee bashing a rival company. Why? Ethics. Plus, common sense.
What's your personal view on the ethics of what TCE have done?
4. Have you read the threads about the way TCE rates the power output of their amps? It may be relevant to your buying decision. Effectively the watts that teh TCE amps are rated at are what TCE feels they are comparable to in terms of loudness rather than the actual power output of these amps (which is quite a lot lower than the figure quoted).
5. I really don't understand the TCE apologists. Its clear (and TCE have admitted) that they used a measure of "watts" that is not in accordance with market standard and none of their marketing materials makes this clear. Whatever you think about the product (and by all accounts it is a very good product), is this the kind of marketing behaviour you would want to encourage for product manufacturers? I think most people would prefer that manufacturers were honest about the specifications they were providing for their products. The apologists are effectively saying that this behaviour should be forgiven because the product itself is good. Why can't we have a good product with honest marketing?
6. Momster is SOLD! Subdecay and Darkglass are the only pedals left. Make me an offer!
7. Still around. No reasonable offer will be refused (although I am the arbiter of what is reasonable!)
8. Wasn't Stuart Copeland the drummer in Oysterhead (or am I mistaken)? Saw the gig last night. I really enjoyed it. I was downstairs for the first half and then snuck in upstairs for a seat for the second. The sound was a lot better upstairs than downstairs. The Whamola solo was brilliant. The show did bring back memories of being like 14-15 years old though.
9.
So got too many tickets in a trigger happy moment and don't enough friends who are Primus fans so offering them up here. £50 delivered recorded first class, which is face value so cheaper than what I paid, will also consider trade for something bass related like an FX pedal or something. I am still planning to go the gig myself s so I could give it to you there though I wouldn't recommend it in case i get stuck on train or anything like that. Will post up a crappy picture taken with my phone shortly (need somewhere to host it). or I can email it to you. Thanks, Oliver
WHens the gig?
10. Man, I have a new love for Oteil. That was some tasty playing in all respects! Very cool.
11.
Dang, that whole thing became a disasterpiece across Tb and the MM forums. Shame they're not including peeps outside the US.
Yeah, some of the posters on TB really seem to have it in for Sterling Ball. WHilst I am dubious whether the numbers proposed and the window being used would really give this a cahnce at success, I was keen to order one to help it along. Sterling's offer to give the money to charity shows that he really is a top bloke. Some of the TB posters following the announcement of the charity offer and the price reduction were downright cringeworthy. Its a big shame there is basically no way for someone outside of the US to order one unless you reach an agreemetn with someone in the US to do the whole thing for you.
12. I just inquired of EBMM whether it would be possible to purchase a bass form the UK and have it shipped to an address in the US. The answer was no. Apparently all orders must be billed and shipped to an address in the USA. Unfotunately that means there is no way for people in the UK to get their hands on one of these basses unless you happen to have a US billing address for your credit card!
13. Has anyone got experience using a shipping service in the US like shipitto? I am tempted to order one but need to get a reliable US service set up to take delivery.
14. Still tempted by the phat phuk. Hmmm.... BTW the B3K is the shizzle. Totally one of the coolest ODs out there. Its defintely on my "don't sell" list even though it has a few quirks!
15. Longshot, but would be interested in trading a Subdecay Echobox for the Phat Phuk? (I've also got a Fuzzrocious Momster available too).
16.
You seem to be having problems with basic pronouns but your trolling skills are top notch. I know you're famous for picking fights and then crying to the mods when you lose. Will you be following tradition here too?
I'm afraid you're grossly misinformed. You see, I've never had to cry to the mods. Based on what I've seen from you, it won't ever be necessary here. Seriously though, its all cool, feel free to keep trying it on; wittier posters than you have tried and failed. I always try and be helpful though, so if you want, drop me a PM and I will give you some tips about playing in the mens' league. At the same time, I wouldn't mind if you'd share some tips on what to do when you "lose", you seem to be quite the expert at that. [Now, seriously are we going to exchange zingers all day or talk about basses? That is why we are here is it not? Now about the singlecut bass? Can you see one in your future?]
17.
What you say is what you are.
If that's true, then I'm sorry that you feel you're totally devoid of intelligent content! (Come on, you can't leave a door open like that and not expect someone to walk in).
18. Apparently Jens was in quite a serious ATV accident recently and badly damaged his shoulder and arm. The initial prognosis was that he wouldn't be able to continue building basses, but he has found a therapist who hopes to have him back and building within 12 months.
19. I've got a ticket and will be there. MOre to see Robert Randolph as opening act, but looking forward to Derek Trucks as well. Up on level 1 of the Chez Boo Empire if anyone wants to meet for a drink. M
20.
It worked
Agreed, you did seem to get pretty worked up about a style of bass you don't need to own.
21.
Except for the owners who care and are posting in this thread trying to defend their choices and pretend they don't care at the same time
I doubt they even really care. Haters will hate. I suspect they are just posting to rile up the feeble minded!
22.
Honestly who cares if they are a fad or not?
People who don't own them. People who do own them don't care, they just play them.
23. Defintely a fad. What kind of ass would play a guitar that looked like this...
