    Well, got the jazz bass a whileback from a forum member, and came with the tort guard! Allways wanted one with an original Gold Vinyl guard, managed to snag one off of ebay from a guy who had one spare! I know which one i am keeping! Though probably not the one most people would choose!

But didnt have the true stingray tone, and it too also had a 17.5 MM string spacing. Just prefer 19MM at the moment!

    I dont know about anyone else, but i am loving my Fender Deluxe USA Jazz 5 string. Decent low B and only a 34 inch scale length. Really comfy neck! Rob

Wondered if a decent power amp would work here.[/quote] Well i dont have that power amp anymore! If the little bastard has a Line out then you can use a power amp with it. But you wouldnt be using the output valves of the ashdown so would lose that particular tone.
