  1. Everyone knows what these are. Excellent kit. Pretty much a sansamp clone. They do sound great. Also fantastic for backup, a Di box or using to get you bass from a jack tto xlr connection. Pick up Leyland Lancashire
  2. Just a note on the batteries. I changed mine in the Z3 and the originals (presumably from Europe) where a couple of mm longer. Therefore the UK ones didn't fit as they're a drop in system rather than a connect system. So, to get it to work put them in then just add a bit of foam or similar to the back so they can't move around. Its literally mms but makes all the difference and stops them slipping away from the contacts.
  3. Same here - I had one. Couldn't get rack ears. Tried markbass, completely ignored me. Never used them again. As a fix, you could buy a rack shelf and velcro it to that. I think that's what I did in the end.
  4. I had the 800bb and absolutely loved it. Power power power and lovely tone. Light as a feather, but sturdy. Very difficult to get anything other than a good sound.
  5. Just down the road from me. Great place. Often forgotten or overlooked which is a shame.
  6. The psychology is interesting. Associating an instrument from a certain time with the music created at that time, which in turn evokes great memories from that time.
  7. For me, it's IEMs (or silent stage so I can hear the PA) if the gig is for others enjoyment (ie wedding band, function band, tribute) and full backline if I'm doing it for fun / my own pleasure, so I can physically enjoy it - the feel and power, rather than enjoy the crowd reaction etc.
  8. I could do. Prob about £6.
  9. Those rick style kays go for around £150-200 now.
  10. Tc Electronic octave pedal. Sub n Up. Excellent condition. An excellent sounding, limitless octaver. Use your own settings, tone prints, pc edits, poly, almost endless possibilities. 3 switch, input/mix, sub up, sub down 1, sub down 2. True bypass. Whats not to like. Grab a bargain. Pick up Leyland Lancashire
  11. Get a tonex. Plenty of options in there. Pretty much choose your rig. Sound amazing too.
  12. That's what I've been working on too!
  13. In recent years the market has been very strange. Up and down like a yoyo. Then all of a sudden certain items, for no reason, have a massive boost in value. 70s p basses have doubled if not tripled, despite varying reviews on quality. SVTs seem to have come right down from what they were and won't shift. 810s can be had for £100, yet a 210 with the same speakers in go for more... Old cheapo 60s basses are doing OK. Japanese squiers are now selling for more than USA basses, and mex ones are absolutely pot luck and probably the same value as normal squiers. Trace elliot has had a recent resurgence. Yet Peavey hasn't. GK 400 and 800 sell for cheap when the come available despite being rare. Ashdown basses don't seem to sell at all, yet Harley benton are flying out. Out of nowhere Westone prices are sky high. Even hondo is now fairly expensive. Pedal wise..... Boss oc2s are £200+. Zoom multi pedals can be had for £40. Yet sans amps stay steady. So..... Time traveller hats on...... What's gonna be the next thing on the used market to boost in value for no reason....?
  14. Gee electronics. Near Warrington. Great knowledge and service of them.
  15. New editor out today. Allows real time editing of the pedal.
  16. Yep, I'll be having a sparkle red V7 for definite!
  17. Just seen an ad by Fender. They're doing the fenders in 3ts sunburst but with a sparkle. Not sure if that's terrible or great?!
  18. Played my z3 a lot and absolutely love it.
  19. Open to offers for a quick sale.
  20. My Harley benton mm84a. Still amazes me what different tones you can get out of it.
  21. I can't recommend sire enough. I've had: x2 V7 v2s. x1 P7 x1 P5 X1 Z3 All outstanding. Work's of art and fabulous sounds. Its almost embarrassing what these sell for, especially second hand. Fantastic instruments.
  22. They give very fast and very fair prices. People forget that they're under no obligation to buy off you, so it's unfair to complain if they make you an offer you don't want to accept. The prices are fair to seller and buyer. Yes, you might get more elsewhere, but for a quick sale, they can't be beat.
  23. Remember this is a class a/b power section. Proper old skool sound and heft with every pedal and sound available in one easy to lift package.
