  1. What you've done is accidentally gone back to a 'proper' rig, and forgot how good they were Happrns to me a fair bit. I just get super happy that a new lightweight cab and amp is my best sound ever, then an old studio rig blows it out of the water... Its a bit like we've convinced ourselves over the last 10 years that the new stuff is better (probably because we want to because it's lighter and easier) when really it isn't. But yeh..... You'll soon get fed up of carrying a proper old skool rig around I tried lifting one of those old trace 410 combos years ago.... and I can still feel it now
  2. Can you use a balanced trs cable (jack to xlr) on the output of this direct to the mixing desk?
  3. I'd imagine it's some generic copy. Good for parts, spares, projects or tinkering for someone.
  4. Bass guitar in black. Unknown brand. This is ideal for a project or spares and repair parts. As it is the electrics are in a bag. The pickups and pots worked. I removed them with the intention of replacing. The body is a nice black with a metallic fleckle. Looks pretty nice. These a few dings and scratches but decent condition. The neck has been oiled and is OK. It has a Fender logo on from previous owner, but definitely isn't a Fender. The frets could do with a file. The machine heads, bridge etc work fine. I will sell with a collection of spares I've acquired over the years (shown in pic) including. 1. Strap. 2. Pickups. 3. Pots. 4. Jack's. 5. Cts pots. These maybe for a jazz? 6. A tonestyler type tone control. 7. Knobs. Note: this is sold as for spares and repairs / ideal for project. For sake of argument take it as some parts may work, some may not. Its a bargain really. Bridges are around £30 and there's x2. Cts pots are expensive. As are tonester style tone controls. Bass body, neck, machine heads - it's a decent buy for some one. Pick up Leyland Lancashire
  5. I don't I'm afraid. I've no scales either unfortunately.
  6. No, it's in great condition. I can go back over it and proper inspect it just to be sure, if you're interested.
  7. Looks amazing on stage. Fits any genre. Rock, pop, metal, hair metal (the guy from that steel panther has one), general party bands. Also great for people struggling with weight of traditional basses. All round quality for not much outlay.
  8. Thanks to the yearly tax return i have to sell this beauty. Now, probably no one has played one of these on here. But it's an absolute gem. Firstly - it's sparkly purple (poss a bit darker than the photos in real life) . Sparkly purple is the best. End of subject Secondly it has a £150 Seymour Duncan mm pick up in as standard. Its passive and each rail has its own volume. There is a master tone. Its also the lightest bass I've ever played. The unique cut of the body saves lots of weight. It's also the slimmest (thickness wise) bass I've ever played. Ever bassist I've shown it to can't believe how easy it is to play. The volumes for each rail are gradual then pour more vol right at the last before max level. You can get some surprisingly different sounds from this set up. The first one has a silence in a certain position before full volume for some reason. Stunning, rare, lightweight, and sounds amazing, especially in the mix. Pick up Leyland Lancashire
  9. Cheap gig bag. Basic protection (ie not thick padding etc). Has pocket at front. Hardly used. Pick up Leyland Lancashire
  10. Job lot of parts I've acquired over the years. Includes: Bridge P bass pickups Pots Jacks Strap There's also a tonestyler type tone control. I've never installed this so don't know how to, and can't confirm if that works. Good little set for mods and upgrades etc. Pick up Leyland Lancashire
  11. I'm sure the quilter used to be class H
  12. Sparkle me up!! Look at those sire sparklers! Silver, black, red, blue. Love it!
  13. Thanks everyone, much appreciated. I'll give that a go.
  14. This is the existing set up. With my tonestyler type having only red and black. I'm not sure what to do.
  15. Only 2 wires. Black and red.
  16. Ooh sorry, no, it's 6 position.
  17. I think it's 5 yes
  18. Hi all, I got this along with a bass, so I'm wanting to fit it in a bass. Firstly, does anyone know what it is? I'm thinking a tonestyler type tone control. How do I wire it to my existing cheapo p bass?
  19. I had the ctm300. Genuinely couldn't get it heard in a band situation. Sounds nothing like a svt to my ears. Wasn't even that valve like. But others seem to like them.
