How much was it if you don't mind me asking ?

After a few years of playing my ampeg svt450 I decided to go for a change and bought an orange terror bass, I liked the terror bass and loved the amount of power then recently it has started to creep up on me that I'm not really into the terror bass anymore and have fell out with the sound of it so to speak. So I was just wandering what would be a better move from here, do I trade the orange in against something like an all valve ampeg svt classic or do I go for something which has more options such as graphic eq and more tonal possibilities. I'm really in a pickle about what to do. I hope someone can help me find a sense of direction or someone who has been in a similar situation

[/quote] True point, never had him as a popular bass player as he's a bit unknown so to speak. Still looks to make an interesting bass, I guess he's a lot more popular in the states than here

Sure I read somewhere that he mainly plays fender when he's recording, although I have seen him with lakland basses more than anything

Saw today that fender are bringing out a Nate Mendel sig which looks awesome. There is a picture on ashdowns Facebook of the new bass, was just wondering if anyone else saw it and what you thought of it. I can't post a pic as I'm on my phone

just got myself an american standard jazz bass. This thing is seriously awesome, will get pictures up as soon as i finish work tomorrow, its a lovely charcoal frost metallic colour with a rosewood fretboard. pictures soon to follow

I had one do this to me. Fortunately it was still under warranty and it was said that it was part of a small batch of them that had a very similar problem. I sent it back to orange and they said it was unable to repair it so I was given a new one, out of curiosity I checked the serial numbers on the side of the box to make sure it was a different batch. Hope you get it sorted out

I had one that packed in totally and was deemed unrepairable by orange so I got a brand new one. It hasn't given me any trouble since I got the new one. Apparently it was part of a faulty batch of terror basses, mine just wouldn't turn on at all for some reason and it didn't even show any sign that it was going to fail, I had taken care of it and it had been kept on the dining room table and not been moved or dropped or treated badly in anyway. Just shows that things can go wrong with terror basses although it's unlikely it will happen very often and the one I have now is perfect.

A guy called Fraser that works in PMT on a Saturday. He's meant to be a genius, the guitarists from my band have put his kids through uni they have been that many times with all their guitars. He's highly recommended
