1.
@winterfire666 Yeah there is a SWR G3 going cheap on here too, so might be worth looking into them a bit more, just can't seem to find any sound clips of the thing. As I said to Fuzz I'm a bit unsure about the barefaced cabs as I wasn't blown away by the one I played through. Hey maybe I just need to give them a another chance, but the cab it self been portable isn't to much of a problem for me. Although it would be nice to have a light and small cab haha!
winterfire said his SWR G3 (4X10) with his Big Ben (1X18) combined still got blown away by a Barefaced S12 - you should seriously consider them, they are leading the technology race in modern bass cab design and sound incredible - I've never heard a better bass cab and I've tried many. Also, the BF Super 12 weighs 40lbs which is a revelation for a cab that can handle 1000W RMS easily. Oh, and that Vintage T in the For Sale section is sold
 2. Sorry no - but it's exactly like this one: http://www.westone.info/thunder3afretlessbass.html
 3. I don't think the original Westone Thunder fretless was available lined - the only way you will get one is to buy a de-fretted example. I haven't played much fretless but I love my unlined Thunder III and intonation isn't so difficult once you get familiar with the neck. Also, for information, these basses can be used without batteries (in passive mode) if required. I love mine
 4. Here's mine: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Einhell-Folding-Truck-90kg-Capacity/dp/B001GU6FYI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1333786774&sr=8-1 It carries up to 90kg and only cost £22.39 including delivery. It's light and packs away small - I'm very pleased with it.

 6. Are your Very Good basses fitted with active preamps...? The EBS can distort with very high output basses: http://www.ovnilab.com/reviews/multicomp.shtml
 7.
Doubling driver displacement offers the same increase in volume as quadrupling your power output.
The Barefaced Compact actual displacement is 566cc which is approaching four times the displacement of your SP210...
 8.
I would add a Barefaced compact. That would make an awesome rig.
+100
 9. I'm curious about these but my understanding is that they have most effect on a hollow stage. Studiospares also sell strips of the foam 2" X 4" and four feet in length for around £12 - I reckon a sheet of decent ply and a couple of spare carpet tiles should do the trick...anyone else tried building one...? 10.
Help!!! don't we mix 10s and 15s anymore. I thought the mix of the 2 sizes is good
Let's reverse the question - why do you thing mixing speaker sizes is good...?
 11. Search the bay for item No. 290689391956 for all the details.
 12. TURN OFF YOUR CAPS BUDDY...it makes it easier to read. Cheers
 13. ...and swapping four preamp valves will most likely be considerably cheaper.
 14.
Interesting discussion, as I'm sitting here with an ebay parcel all sealed up and addressed to .... Italy. I've sent basses and other things there without problems. So is my luck about to run out?
I think in general Italy is not a major problem but the customs delays can cause a lot of hassle for the buyer and seller. Always make sure the Italian buyer is aware that there may be delays of some weeks on occasion.
 15. That is a fine example of what can be acheived (albeit you do it all the time...!). I've been reading about your work Ou7shined - that looks great...!
 16. If it were mine, I would either get a pale mint green scratchplate and be done or I would go tortoiseshell scratchplate with a black pickup cover....lovely *Edit* Like this: http://cdn1.gbase.com/usercontent/gear/2984579/p1_ut3jqe4xx_so.jpg
 17.
Lol and what is a 'proper' bass then
Hehe It's probably creating a short when the string is resting on the pickup pole as the string is in contact with the bridge which is (normally) earthed. I should add that I'm no electrical engineer so i may be wrong.
 18.
Isn't this the wrong section?
It's been on here since Xmas so I guess it's OK - I'm looking for a bass in trade which is why I put it here
 19.
Hello, I randomly came across this earlier with my Highway One with the Delano pups that there is absolutely zero buzz from the pups! Excellent then I touched the pole piece and it buzzed a little but nothing excessive. Then as I had the strings loose the string was magnetised to the pup and if the string was in contact with the pole piece there would be no sound......
I'm assuming you mean that when you touch the pole pieces with your finger you get a slight buzz but if you let the loose string rest on the pole piece, you get no buzz...? If my explanation of your situation (across the nation) is correct, I would say it's correct...! Hope that makes sense...oh. and by the way, you won't get these anomolies if you get yourself a proper bass
 20.
Also just for the record I have sent gear to former Eastern Bloc countries a couple of times now without any slip ups.
I have also had many dealings with Eastern Europeans with no problems - lovely folk...!
I would send the money back ASAP. To be fair if the guy Latvian or otherwise waited longer than expected for whatever reason then for the bass to end up back at the sender, it's perfectly reasonable for him to say enough is enough. I know it's not your fault but life sucks sometimes. Take it on the chin pal. Fork up for a quiet life. stick the bass on here you never know.
I think you are misunderstanding things - Paypal has already taken the money back and reimbursed the buyer.
