I have an NXT 5 and a bow. To answer your question, it is perfectly possible to bow it, despite the bridge being pretty low by DB standards, as the body is rounded and thin.
Personally, I find it a lot more fun to bow my Harley Benton EUB, which has a neck/fingerboard/bridge setup which is more similar to a real DB. But bowing can be done on any EUB, I'm sure.
As for "a bow is a bow is a bow", that's not true, as our experts above have said. French and German are two different ways of gripping a bow, and each kind of grip requires a different type of bow. I'm happy with French, as I'm prone to Carpal Tunnel Syndrome in my left (bowing) wrist and the French grip seems less taxing from that point of view. Your mileage may vary.
Fact - bowing is unfeasibly cool
