  1. I recently bought a PD212-D from Bassgear but it doesn't look like they sell them any more ... maybe ask them ?
  2. I'd like to know too ... B3K gets my vote but the SA OFD was/is certainly on my radar as well. I think that some on Talkbass have managed to get close to the B3K with the OFD ...
  3. Ahhh... can't post a pic for some reason 😠

Cheers Martin ! Deal with confidence guys.
  6. Mini mine
  7. I just got a set for my Dingwall 5 & wanted to try low F# .... Really like the strings (except the F# .174 tho prob not the string's fault more the low freq) so I took it off & moved the others up & just added a (high) G .. so have normal low B (actually drop A in my case) ... My initial impression is that I like these Circle K strings even more than the Dingwall or Payson but it looks like this low tuning set is the only one available in the UK that I know of (Bassdirect) I'd love to be able to just get the normal 5 string set next time I need a string change ...
  8. Nice one ! I'd love a wenge neck on my ABZ (don't think I've even posted a pic yet & had it 3 1/2 years)
  9. Can't really help other than I've heard good things about them & I seem to remember reading somewhere that they use Volt speakers which are made here in the UK.
  10. Got two brand new 6 string Elixir Nanoweb Baritone sets .012 - .068 ... £20 posted http://www.elixirstrings.co.uk/products/product_electric.html
  11. FS - barely used / never gigged pair of 5 string Dimarzio Ultra Jazz pups. Red wire on both is slightly shorter & will include screws I had but think head a bit chewed on one. Both pups have same dimensions so you may need to mod a little. Here's the spec etc http://www.dimarzio.com/pickups/bass/5-string-bass/ultra-jazz-5-pair http://www.dimarzio.com/sites/default/files/diagrams/549dim.pdf
  12. The DiMarzio Ultra jazz pups in my Yamaha BBN5 have a more thump than growl as they're hum cancelling so neck is similar design to a p bass pup ... I might be taking this bass off the market as I'm maybe gonna give it another try with different pups (true single coils other than stock) & maybe some flats as tension on low B isn't enough for me as I play in drop A. It's fine in standard tuning and is a nice 5er. I think you can't go wrong with the Yamaha range of 5ers & most of the new ones are all 34". Not expensive either Pity for me coz I'd really like 35" just for the low A issue ...
