1.
I certainly heard that this was the case.

Sorry I didn't ask, he did say they change their tube suppliers from time to time but didn't relate that to the DI. If you need info it is worth calling them. I just got the phone number out of the handbook. I got put straight through and the guy I spoke to was really helpful and.happy to chat.
Thanks, guys! I love it when companies work like that. Makes me a loyal customer. best, bert
 2. Ah! Cool. Thanks. I'd searched to no avail. best, bert
 3.
If I couldn't be JJ I'd be Hugh. Hugh is uber cool. Saw him in Bristol and Southampton in 2012.
What? You mean he was touring? In case: how was it? best, bert
 4. Nah. I like understating things with a broad pen. Thanks for telling. I'll change that. You may mean the Warwick News thread. It didn't contain that link, see, so I thought it could be ok to post it. best, bert
 5.
He explained that the hot DI issue has been sorted, they are also now fitting JJ tubes as standard.
Did he by any chance say whether these two changes happened at the same time, as in: "if you find JJs, then the DI is sorted"? best, bert
 6.
they are also now fitting JJ tubes as standard.
I'm sorry to read that. Dodgy stuff.
 7.
I would love to be able to play the organ (inc foot pedals) though.
Great choice! Here's lesson 1, from an organist and pedant twat: It's called "pedals". No hand pedals exist. Me, I was inspired by the Jaws Harp option ( ), but voted Drummers, as drums are the complete alternative to bass and keyboards. Have started learning a little, for the time being on Derbouka and Djembe, and the moment I feel I practise enough on bass, I'll buy an electronic drum kit and find a drum teacher. best, bert
 8. I might like to be in Emerson, Bert & Palmer. Sadly though, my chances are a lot better in Bert, Lake & Palmer. best, bert
 9. Hey Ben, Welcome! You're extremely welcome, I'm sure, even though you like whiskey. Protestant or catholic? The whiskey, I mean. Enjoy the site! best, bert
 10. Hey Andy, Welcome to BC! We can only excuse your poor English when you start writing poor English. Only logical, right? Though we're not very friendly towards metal basses, due to their tuning peculiarities. Stick to wood, Plexiglass and concrete, my advice would be. But enough with the nonsense: Enjoy the site, and enjoy the talk! best, bert
 11. Welcome, Dean, but you make it very hard for us, seeing as you've been playing stringed breasts for more than 20 years. On a completely different note: as to bra jokes, you're in the clear. We don't like bras that much. That, and DD really means Dargie Delight, as the Music Man site will confirm. Mingle with the locals, have a little chat, and enjoy! beast, beart ... er ... bert
 12. Hey Wayside, Welcome to hither. There's also ready made templates on eBay, from a seller called rockandroll-teez. Enjoy the site! best, bert
 13.
where do I get help
Evidently and logically, that would be in Off Topic. I don't know whether to wish you good luck or not. Empty bank account makes one more grateful for the basses one has, yes? Of course it also depends on how many misses you've actually got. There are some break even points somewhere - I feel sure of it. They'll break you for sure. best, bert
 14. Hey Josh, Welcome! Josh is just your English name, right? Or does it exist in Italy too? Anyway, I hope you enjoy the groove on this site. It's a good groove indeed. best, bert (Umberto for you)
 15. Hey Coach, Welcome! Wow, what an introduction. I've always wanted to be coach at the Central Bureau for Gynaecology myself, but I guess it's nice enough to know one. As to getting a complete rig, the For Sale forum sports extremely low prices these days, so you're in for a steal or steals. As to the Sabre, it may be a relief to learn that Music Man have become a brand for losers like MusicMan20, Brensabre79, stingrayPete1977 and BassTractor, so there's little reason to hunt for the new Sabre Classic or even the tantalising Armada bass or the Game Changer with control app. Effing losers. Enjoy the site! best, bert
 16. Hey Septic, Welcome! As said, there's heaps of bassists in SE Wales. Dunno what's wrong with these people, but there it is. As to the bassist/singer combi, there is a whole thread in General Discussion where people have written about their experiences. You could look that one up. Skinny: "hard!"
3.) my bass teacher told me to.
As good a reason as any. Mind you: cabs are dead cheap on the For Sale forum right now. Grab A Cab While Stocks Last!E Enjoy! best, bert
 17. Hey Mikee, Welcome! It already looks as if you can thrive with being here. Good. My advice would be to read on this vast site, and ask about everything that is unclear. Me, in just a largelong year, I've learned so much here that I now know thousand times as much as I started out with. Ssadly started with zero though. ;^) Enjoy! best, bert
 18. Hey Littlethoughts, Welcome to a good place for fulfilling that. You'll find prices are terribly low right now, so keep your wallet ready. In addition, and as I keep hammering on, rolled oats and milk are the solution to every money problem, so you have no excuses. Enjoy! best, bert
 19.
.
I like your perspective (or should that be Perspex?) best, bert
 20. Sorry if this has been posted as expected, but I couldn't find it. Warwick's page for the LWA 1000 dual channel amp: http://www.warwick.d...ID=48496&&cl=EN best, bert
 21.
Pimp.
22.
how I am going to get another two double basses into the house without 'her indoors' noticing
Simply make the basses invisible! That's done by objects being held in front of them as it were, between her eyes and the basses. A good example of such objects could be a 50 point diamond ring or maybe two plane tickets to the destination of her dreams. See, it's really not that complicated once you put your mind to it. BTW, where's your intro thread? best, bert
 23. Got excited by this thread, but was disappointed by the music. Sadly, this is just strolling. What's so cool about minor thirds up and minor thirds down? Couldn't make it through the whole song even, which is rare for me. I hope the other stuff has more bite to it. best, bert
 24.
makes me think I should add my Kay strat to my list.
Demm you boy! If you do that, I'm gonna add my Peavey Tracer II, so be forewarned.
 25. Hey Les, Welcome to the show that never ends. Your intro was nothing but a great read, so keep up the good work, please. We'll try and pay you back with well thought out an well written papers on numbers of subjects Enjoy the banter! best, bert
