1. Argh, if this had come up last week I'd have snapped it up. If it's still here when I get back from tour (unlikely) I'll take it.
2. Off on tour on tuesday, going through Germany, Holland, Belgium and Poland so gimme a shout before then if there's any interest from anyone who might be able to meet up...
3. Mind you, this looks interesting: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Fulltone-Ultimate-Oc...#ht_1832wt_1167
4. Depends what sort of sound you want really. The whammy sounds really digital and fake to me but lots of people like that. My favourite octave up is the Foxrox Octron. It does octave down as well as octave up and sounds lush. I've tried the POG, PS5, Whammy, Unibass, French Toast and probably more I can't remember and it's easily my favourite octave up pedal. Edit: Of course the Whammy does much more than just octave up which is all I needed.
5. I'll take both the loops. Paypal ok? Are you able to post them today?
6. Thanks for the kind words, it is indeed a great pedal. I just don't need it as I seem to have valve amps coming out my ears at the moment (quite a nasty condition really). Haven't tried any guitar forums yet, wouldn't know where to start really. Off on tour next week, will just stick it on Ebay if it hasn't sold when I get back. They seem to consistently fetch about £120 on there.
7. This one? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1973-Gibson-EB-4L-Ba...a#ht_500wt_1182 Looks really nice. Can't afford it until I sell my Sabre unfortunately. Would really like a two pickup version in black though ideally.
8. Still got that EB-3L? Mmmmmmm. Any idea what they're worth out of interest?
9. You should do, it's a great chorus :-) I can potentially do Thursday or Saturday afternoon by the way, just so you know.
10. Yea, I might be interested in the Aguilar if you'd split too.
11. Interested in trades for decent bass friendly mics too.
12.
head room also if your running big octave down effects in parallel or bass heavy fuzzs it'll eat into the headroom so it's easier on the amps to run them in parallel. Also you can eq them differently!
Yea, this. Plus, it just sounds massive! Guess that once it's through the PA it might not make much difference but I like being able to treat each chain differently and have both going on independently behind me. As mentioned, both amps have a fair bit of character too I reckon.
13. Nah only really touring over in Europe at the mo, might get up that way eventually next year though.
14. I've been running two rigs for a while now and absolutely love it. I have a big board with lots of effects and use two Aguilar GS412's. I have a Sunn 1200s driving my 'bassy' rig and a 100w valve amp (changes round a bit at the moment) running my 'fx' rig. I split the signal at the start of the pedal board and have bassy distortions, fuzzes and octave down fx going into the Sunn and any quirky, noisy fx (wahs, ringmods, phasers reverbs, delays, synths etc) as well as an octave up running into the valve amp. This way I have a big solid state amp delivering crushing low end with lots of meaty headroom and the breakup of a valve amp at full tilt at the same time. Awesome. I think that having different fx (particularly if some are a bit 'out there') into separate amps creates an amazing array of textures and really works the kind of stuff I play.
15. Ok cool no worries. Let me know if it's still available after. Cheers.
16. Any chance you could whip one out and have a peek? Interested in trades for the Blackstar?
17. Any idea what speakers are in the cab? May well be interested.
18. Yea it can get pretty gnarly if you really push the second channel. It's pretty versatile though with lots of milder/mildly wild sounds available as well.
19. Another bump from me.
20. Pretty sorted for fuzz and overdrive at the moment thanks Kev. Pretty curious what it's like though.. Price drop on the Blackstar.
21.
Might be interested in the flight cases. Got pics and internal dimensions?
22. Bump for Pearls and edit.
23. Also interested in other preamp pedals/di's in trade such as EBS/Aguilar. Maybe also other distortions or a Boss Re20. Pic to come.
24.
Pmed. I have already had a very good cash offer, but still wouldnt mind looking at trades or raises!
Got pics?
