  1. Sorry guys, but I'm new to using two cabs, I had planned to connect cab to cab, which I can't do. With the NL4 splitter. Is it splitting the signal and because of the split it still registers as 8 Ohm load? Or is it like connecting two cabs together and turns into an 4 Ohm load?
  2. Ha I have recently become a member of a new band, a heavy metal band. We are finding it hard to get a drummer. Not sure if we could afford to be picky right now! Be nice if drummers responded to messages and didn't keep dropping out.
  3. They are both 8 ohm cabs. Thanks @jrixn1, that should do the trick. Nice cheap solution. Life saver.
  4. Skills yes, but a wiring diagram or basic information as to where wires would need to be connected would be needed. I'm used to sorting wiring on motorbikes.
  5. Could I add another speakon connector to the cabs so there I could connect both cabs?
  6. Ah so I can't use the line out connection as in stereo? Left and Right? That's what somebody told me at PMT! I'm well aware the usual speaker out in mono is the one with the red nut. So I guess there is no way I can use the two cabs together then?
  7. I can assure you my head has both balanced and unbalanced line outs. Here's a photo.
  8. Yes it has balanced and unbalanced outs, left and right.
  9. Hi guys, A technical question. If I had two 4x10 cabs. Which only had 1 speakon input. How would I connect the two cabs please?
  10. Having ago at learning Iron Maiden Passchendaele.
  11. So how easy do you think it would be to get BLS 610 in and out of a car?
  12. Hi, Is anybody using the Gallien Krueger CX410 8 Ohm cab? Looking at Gallien Krueger website https://www.gallien-krueger.com/cx-410-specs . This seems like a very well thought out design. Proper bracing and sound dampening. I know Gallien have a reputation for being able to handle drop tunings all the way down to A. Doesn't look like I'd be able to connect two cabs together though? What's the sound like? Has anybody stacked two together?
  13. The reason for the Digbeth name is really quite simple. Its where Laney had its original factory.
  14. Sad news indeed, his drumming defined a generation of heavy metal drumming.
  15. A sad day indeed! Will put some ZZ Top on in honour of the man!
  16. My black bass, a Rickenbacker 4003S5.
  17. So today, I went to one of my local bass shops, as they are stocking some of the Digbeth range. They had the DBC410-4 cab paired with the DB500H amp head. So I really liked some of the tones I got out of the cab. I even heard some of that Rickenbacker growl. The low end handled the 4th and 5th string of my Rick well. This cab had made me rethink my preferences of 115 over 410..I am leaning more toward 410. If this cab was 8 ohm I probably would have bought it. I need 850 Watts at 4 Ohm to work with my amp head..So the cab only being 400 Watt at 4 Ohm is an issue. Whilst I liked the amp head, it seems to be high gain. No matter how I set the amp I couldn't get ride of it, as a result it shows all the nuances of my playing. I did not try the FET mix function however.
  18. Not really, I think it would be a step back compared to my Ashdown ABM Compact 115. The BLS115 doesn't have a tweeter and is only 300w.
  19. I spoke on the phone today with PMT. Asked them about the actually weight of the BLS 610 cab. The weight on the website is correct. They told me it is so heavy that the only courier service they could use is pallet freight. Don't have many left in stock, the store that had one in stock didn't have a tape measure, so can't give dimensions.
  20. Thanks for the information and help guys. All taken on board. When I get home I'll look at all the various information. No doubt there might be some more questions.
