  1. Listening to Corey Taylor - CMFT album.
  2. I always used to think a 410 and 115 was a classic combination. The advice though from professional cabinet makers is if you find a cabinet you like, buy two of them. Funny enough I'm going through the same decision making process, I have an old Ashdown ABM115 Compact 500w. I'm considering paring it with either an Ashdown 210 or 410.
  3. Judas Priest - Necromancer! Banging tune, have to say the album Firepower is very good.
  4. Being that these are FRFR cabs are you guys going to be using them with modeling amps?
  5. Well folks thanks to @Oldman, I now have a Positive Grid Bias Amp Head. Connected it to my Ashdown ABM115 Compact 500 Watt cab. And used my Sterling Stingray 4HH. First thing I noticed is the sound sounded "fuller, thicker" Whether that is the head or settings is yet to be decided. This morning I connected the head to the Bias Amp 2 Professional software. I am very impressed with what I have seen so far. I can not wait to get experimenting. For anybody not in the know, at 4 Ohm the head puts out 850 Watts, at 8 Ohm it puts out 600 Watts.
  6. Motorhead - Under Cover album
  7. I use Songster on my phone, no bugs issues. Will check out the other programs you mentioned.
  8. Yes that's what I've found the songster can be wrong. Then again a lot of tab found online on various websites is wrong, and that's the good ones. Always pays to listen to the track and try and dissect it and cross reference with the tab.
  9. I wouldn't worry about how long you've been playing. I've only been playing since last September-October. I tend to use Songster to learn new songs, I find it speeds learning up for me 🙂
  10. Thanks, what Metallica songs can you play?
  11. Warwick Combo's make great practice amps, I have the BC80, I find it very good.
  12. I'm getting on really well. Although I've stopped for now as I'm now focusing on Powerwolf demons are a girl's best friend, as I have an audition for a band, and that's a song they want me to play.
  13. Well I did a search about joining a band ? I'm glad I did, as this thread came up. It has actually answered a lot of my concerns. I've just replied to a wanted add for a band. Thanks SteveXFR
  14. Would be hard to pick a favourite maiden album for me ! So many good albums.
  15. Yes I play metal, I will post a photo later of my gear. I have Sterling Stingray Sub 4 HH, Rickenbacker 4003S5 ( on its way to me ), Ashdown Little Stubby 30w Head, Ashdown ABM 115 Compact 500w cab. I play Saxon, Accept, Marilyn Manson, AC/DC, Judas Priest, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath. I find playing Iron Maiden hard due to the speed. My teacher selected Wicker Man for my first Iron Maiden track. Next song I am learning is the Trooper! See how that goes. My biggest influences and favourite bands are Iron Maiden, Motorhead, Megadeth, Saxon.
  16. Nice set up, nice to see another Ashdown fan! I have the Ashdown ABM115 Compact 500 Watt, I was thinking to get an Ashdown 2x10, 4x10, or 8x10. My concern is foot print. How do you get on playing small venues? Ashdown have some used 8x10 for sale at the moment at a very good price.
  17. Listening to Iron Maiden - Seven Son of the Seventh Son album
  18. The Pretty Reckless - Death by Rock and Roll
  19. I've only recently discovered The Idles, my favourite song being Model Village.
  20. Not that I'm listening to it right now, but earlier I listened to Hawkwind Light Orchestra - Stellar Variations. I thought it a brilliant album.
  21. My gear will be Rickenbacker 4003S5, Sterling Stingray Sub 4 HH, Ashdown Little Stubby amp, Ashdown 15 " cab.
  22. Metallica-Enter Sand Man
  23. I'll try and attend this in Sept!
