    I was in the front row at a bijou Chris Difford solo show a few years ago and he stopped ‘Tempted’ to berate me for leaving for a call of nature! I used the disabled loo and came back as the song finished… to be followed in by half a dozen similarly afflicted males he’d given permission to follow my example 😂

    Good point. Gary had a legendary red one he whipped out to do Red House a la Hendrix. https://www.musicradar.com/news/under-the-microscope-gary-moores-fiesta-red-fender-stratocaster Albert played a sunburst with some strange Scandinavian act as I recall.

    I had to interview guitarists playing at the 2004 Wembley tribute to the Stratocaster. To that end I spent a day at a rehearsal studio. Neither Joe Walsh or Gary Moore showed, but Albert did so I interviewed him. A more modest man I have never met - in fact he said he felt a fraud as he wasn’t a habitual Strat player! Long may he rock… 🎸

    Fab post, @Grooverjr!👏 And may I add, Andy’s bass-related stories over the years have had endless entertainment value. I know not everyone can or wants to be a big contributor, but there are certain characters you look out for. @AndyTravis has helped make BC what it is, as indeed has @Clarky, so I see this as an affirmation that all the hours spent on BC over the past 17 years haven’t been wasted!👍
