1. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xoWs8ER6PJo Bonzo's do it best!
2.
A warehouse of Marshall stuff in Milton Keynes? LMAO Pwnd!!!! Nice P, was that from MK too? If it was I may have missed out there
3.
The current line up of staff, however, are a disinterested and less than helpful bunch. Arrogant bald bloke spends much of his time being bald as well as arrogant. Emo boy seems to serve no other purpose than to stand about, constantly furrowing his brow a little, while simultaneously practising his pensive, moody expressions. The 2 of these wonderful people combined have the collective charisma of a radiator. The rest of the staff are instantly forgettable and seem to be as unhelpful as they are lacking in any real knowledge about what they're supposed to be selling.
Aw man with a review like that I gotta go over there now and see if I can spot the Emo boy and wind up Mr Arrogant!!
4.
Thats not a party trick, a real party trick is being caught out at the start of Dakota (stereophonics) and playing through the whole song without spilling yer pint Ner!
I'm impressed with your dedication......not to spill the pint!
5.
Worst was that long haired Irish chap off the phone ads, name bizarrely escapes me, he was utterly vile.
Dara O'Briain?.....no...wait........... Ed Byrne?
6. Evening Standard hack seemed less than impressed. Comments section nailed his arse to the wall I reckon, the one from 'Rob' Planet rock DJ, particularly tickled me, as I have been listening all morning and he is dining royally on that guys ass! http://www.thisislondon.co.uk/music/review-24028137-chickenfoot-o2-academy-brixton---review.do
7. PMT Birmingham I have used a few times and they are a good bunch of guys, PMT in Northampton have taken LOTS of my money over the years, staff always very helpful and seem knowledgeable. Still try and show off by slapping any bass I want to play though......grrrrr ( to be fair I thinks thats in their job description, 'must act like a dick and slap any bass thats picked up')
8. Coming to MK? Is it collection direct from Marshalls?
9. Gorgeous tone out of a good looking Bass! I keep badgering my mob to do this as I love the choon!
10. Heard it on Planet Rock this morning, never been much of a VH fan so it got a 'meh' from me!
11. +1 on the Peavey cirrus BXP I got mine from PMT in Northampton so I know they sell em and the price is right. Its my 1st 5 string so nothing to compare it against, but with 18V active electronics on board, its a dream to play!
12. Skip the 1st few mins? No feckin way!! looked like a Tele headstock to me... not that I know much!
13. That was very good, if only we were....I'd love to have something like that to walk on to!
14. Yup about a 4 min walk and right under our Birmingham office, spent many a lunchtime mooching in there!
15.
That's cool I'm in Aylesbury but we plan to play Berkhampstead / Hemel etc as well as Aylesbury. The other chaps come from that way. We rehearse in my back garden and even my misses said we sounded good (and she doesn't often complement me ) I will post when we have our first gig!
Woohoo! we rehearse in Aylesbury, will be there today, drummer hails from those parts. If you here the strains of 'Waiting For An Alibi' wafting around near Tesco's..that'll be us!! If you want to gig round Hemel, get the band to the Oddfellows Arms in Apsley on a Tue night, they do Jam nights and it gives you a chance to show the boss what you can do, we got a gig in May out of it.
16.
@Oopsdabassist yeah I'll definitely try to make it down mate! PM me with start time etc
usually kick off about 9.00pm..All are welcome..bring yer partners, parents, kids, cats or dogs...its all good fun...oops sorry Blademan, didn't mean to hijack your thread
17.
Just so long as there wasn't a repetition of this,,,,
AAARGHH that is just painful..gave up after 2 mins, couldn't stop cringing!
18. I play for fun, and the buzz when it goes well, money earned funds my gear (almost) Its a nice feeling when you are cranking out a busy bassline and it goes well, but I am just as happy bangin' out roots tbh!
