Yup current band is a real hoot, rehearsals are full of laughter, and everyone puts in the time. I suggested a song last Wed, we rehearsed it Sat, and I reckon we could gig it tomorrow, including the twin guitar harmonies! we also cover Bucks...hope we ain't gonna be competing for gigs!! edit: georgeH we are playing The Bull in Bracknell 4th feb if ya wanna come take the mickey!

Fine by me, I love my Eden gear and Marshall service is:- A: bloody brilliant and B: a 30 second walk from work!

Used to gig a Laney RB6 regular, with a 4x10 extension (which I still have) good enough for most pubs! Sound was a bit woolley but not too bad at all, I think I just spoiled myself when I went to Eden!

Was the bass plugged into the amp at the time?

Trace stuff, most people here say nice things about the sound....but HATE the weight, they are like lugging a small country around..apparently!

love my MIM Jazz, just feels a bit heavy compared to the Yamaha though.

All gear was shown to me last night by CID, ain't got it back yet but have positively ID'd it. No damage at all I that can see, they even polished everything up to make it nice and shiny for selling lol! my flight cases never looked so clean!! All band related stickers were removed, but hey...I have plenty of those! Thanks everyone for your replies, its great to talk about this, helps me sort things out in me 'ead and recover my sense of wellbeing (oops hippy warning!!) Moral of whole sad story? Make sure you have decent pics of all your gear!!.....Oh and remember to note serial numbers (I will now)

Thanks for all the replies folks, most of em echo my fears I must say, and had a long chat with the band member who was conacted by this guy last night, and I think we are all on the same wavelength now. Its unlikely we will go down this route I think. No agent can offer us much more than what we do now (and enjoy) so why pay a third party?

I put one on a Schecter I had, mainly because the top of the pickup was such an awkward shape, it was unfortable to use. Never did get a good tone out of it though, and chopped it for my Jazz.

Stolen about 4pm yesteday from home in milton keynes, 2 basses, quite distinctive looking, the Jazz had a John East preamp fitted after that pic was taken, but you get the idea. Have posted the pics to all local guitar shops and cash converters, but if you see anything I would appreciate a PM. Also my Boss ME-20B effects unit with associated FS-6 footswitch and my Sennheiser Freeport wireless system, both in aluminium flightcases. Not best pleased at moment Sorry I missed the Daves gig Lozz, was kinda busy Cheers all
