In the 60s I had a japcrap 12-string guitar. A friend sat on it and snapped the neck. It was repaired, but never really recovered and over time the neck bowed. It didn't have an adjustable trussrod and it seemed the only thing to do was junk it. More recently, when I first started using eBay, I bought a Crucianelli 12-string, which turned out to have a nicely bowed neck and similarly lacking in the truss rod dept. Local luthier wouldn't touch it, so I put it back on eBay, with full disclosure. Someone in Canada bought it, for more than I paid, at a time when the exchange rate was totally in our favour. No idea what he did with it, or whether the enormous cost was worth it.

I've just been on the Interparcel site. In the Order History section it now shows everything by default, including prices and a total. I've spent over £700 with them since 2006. And most of it was bass related. As of 16:30 the body was in transit to Dundee.

Keep it in the living room, as a conversation piece, with a vase of dried flowers, pot pourie or a nice silk runner. That'll please the wife.

I have a bass body heading to Aberdeen with UPS via Interparcel. Picked up yesterday. Race you! (According to the UPS web site last night it was picked up yesterday and delivered in February 2010, which must be some kind of record. Guess they recycle tracking numbers)

Simple rule of thumb when trying a bass in a shop (assuming you can find one to try). If it sounds ok with rounds it'll sound better with flats.

What really annoys me is when I dive in and reply to a thread, then realise it's a 50 page marathon resurrected from 3 years ago. And I think I've probably replied to it at least once before, so I'm either repeating myself (poor old duffer) or contradicting what I said before (older and wiser).
