  1. American Vintage Reissue 64 Jazz Bass in Daphne Blue I believe they made 50 of these , gorgeous thin nitro paint that has crazed a bit in places and sunk into the grain a bit which IMO really gives it that 60s feel way more than a lot of relic jobs I see( I couldn't capture this in the photos ) Plays and sounds great, I had it set up by Jonathon at Feline Guitars ( he really knows his stuff) Few little dings in the paint but overall really good condition OHSC with all the mutes guards brochures etc I'm in Crystal Palace but i travel a lot for gigs so try me for a meet up No trades I'm afraid
  2. I suppose it was also be a nightmare for the soundman if the DI level was changing mid gig
  3. Here we go, this is exactly what I wanted to know, isn't basschat great
  4. My apologies, never knew there were fender JVs with the logo on the neck heel GLWTS looks like a cracker
  5. Thanks for the 21 frets tip From what I can tell the fender jvs have nitro paint and USA pups although the website only mentions guitars not basses, anyone got more info?
  6. I've had a few JV squiers over the years and I love em, just wondered what the difference is between the usual ones and the one's that say fender but with squier on the headstock tip and I've recently seen a few fenders with JV serial no.s are they the same thing?
  7. Sorry it's a squier
  8. How did the Duncans sound compared to the JV pups?
  9. Just been playing my JV p and it sounds great unplugged and I love the neck profile but plugged in I'm not sure , I just A/B it with my CS and 77p and it's a bit lower output , I don't think it's faulty or anything but just a bit meh What's the general consensus bout JV pups? Shall I put a lollar or bareknuckle in it?
  10. Wow, is that Bob Mintzer on tenor?
  11. I like mine old school , Larry Graham and Louis Johnson are my faves
  12. Wow he is nailing the Jaco thing
  13. I'd buy it if I bid on it I'm genuinely saddened by the amount of people saying don't buy it there'll be no consequences , there's been so many threads about timewasters etc Serious question to the OP why did you bid if you thought your bid was under the reserve and you didn't want at that price anyway
  14. Mono vertigo, pricey but worth it
  15. Sandberg and maruscyck make some really light basses
  16. But isn't that assuming the cash price is firm and the trade value is negotiable
  17. Yeah I agree I would normally of entered into negotiation but I just thought it was a bit odd
  18. The basses were the same value so it seemed like it was saying they want money in their favour to swap a bass of the same value
  19. I know value is subjective and you can ask what you like but recently a bass came up I would of been interested to trade , mine I considered to be the same value ( the market would too) and was exactly what they were saying they'd trade for but they the had the afore mentioned different values , best part of 20% . I didn't bother messaging them because of it
  20. I think it's nonsense too mate, doesn't make sense
  21. You're right , why not suggest practicing it together with a metronome running?
  22. I've never been charged extra for a hardcase in the hold with easyJet
  23. Just go for it mate , it'll be fine
