ALL GONE

The Lumberjack is withdrawn now as it is too good as a low gain fuzz to be sold for such a ridiculously low price. Added the EXH NANO BASSBALLS which I no longer need because my 3Leaf Proton does pretty much its job.

Hi there! Due to a recent visit to Chicago Music Exchange, I am in the need of selling some of the stuff I don't normally use to get my bank account back to normal. This is gear that I don't use mainly because of the style that my band plays, and I can't afford right now to keep idle at home. Everything is in great condition and all prices include shipping to mainland UK and Ireland. You can find pictures at: http://s681.photobuc...e?sort=3&page=1 Two last things:

No trades, I'm only interested in the money.
Prices are non negotiable. I've already browsed eBay and the cheapest online shops and set the prices accordingly. Keep in mind that posting is incuded on all items.
Cheers! STUFF SOLD: DARKGLASS VINTAGE MICROTUBES - SOLD Completely new pedal, bought in June and used just a couple of times. Fat tubey sound with a hint of overdrive if you push it hard. Comes with original packaging and papers. This is a really popular pedal but in case someone has not heard it here is a nice short demo: https://www.youtube....h?v=NkHQAQI0L3M Price: 140£ FULLTONE BASS-DRIVE MOSFET - SOLD This is quite a rare pedal, I've never seen any other for sale on any european Internet forum (just eBay and it goes for about 200£ plus shipping from the USA). It has all the controls of the regular BASS-DRIVE plus a switch for using a MOSFET gain stage instead of the regular one. Great sounding, and as I've said before, quite rare. Crappy demo I did some time ago: https://www.youtube....h?v=vFdKqpUY7O8 Price: [s]180£[/s] 115£ MALEKKO B:ASSMASTER (SILICON) Brassmaster clone with a great fizzy sound and independent volume for clean and fuzz. Tons of options, all of them great. One of my favorite fuzzboxes but again, due to the style of my band, I need to sell it. Demo by the almighty Bass Whisperer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p6kjd6GyvLc Price: [s]130£[/s] 105£ TECH21 SANSAMP CHARACTER SERIES LEEDS Amazing preamp that totally nails the 70s King Crimson tone. The highs on this are just crazy. Unfortunately, the VT Bass I got from CME suits better the music I currently play so this has to go. Includes original packaging and papers. Short demos on bass: https://soundcloud.c...1-leeds-on-bass https://soundcloud.c...tech21-leeds-on [s]Price: 100£[/s] DOD MILKBOX NOS Yes, a NOS pedal. I bought this baby absolutely new last year in a local store where it had been laying for 20 years behind some boxes, never even tried by customers. The Milkbox is regarded as one of the best budget-friendly compressors you can get, both for bass and guitar. Comes with original packaging and papers. You can read a review here: http://www.ovnilab.com/reviews/milkbox.shtml [s]Price: 65£ 45£[/s] EHX NEO CLONE Not to be confused with the rather disappointing Nano Clone, this is a (much) smaller version of the Small Clone. Sounds great for both bass and guitar, no low end loss whatsoever; I'm more of a flanger guy than a chorus guy, though. Comes with original packaging and papers. [s]Price: 30£[/s] EHX NANO BASSBALLS Twin envelope filter perfect for vowel sounds and funky stuff. This is a great pedal that I don't use anymore as I've learned how to make the 3Leaf Proton sound quite close to it and I've never ussed the onboard fuzz. Youtube demo by some guy: https://www.youtube....h?v=SRdgahX8HYk [s]Price: 30£[/s] EHX HOT TUBES OVERDRIVE A CMOS boost/overdrive that is perfect for fattening your signal with a nice warm tube tone. Other pedals that use CMOS transistors in a similar way are the SolidGold FX Beta and the Darkglass Vintage Microtubes; this one comes quite close to those for a fraction of the price (I have tried both). Comes with original packaging and papers. [s]Price: 30£[/s] WAY HUGE SWOLLEN PICKLE MK II This is a beast of a pedal. It's like a nastier, endlessly tweakble russian muff with a HUGE low end (I guess somewhere around 40Hz). Totally nails the bass tone on the first Muse albums. I'm selling this because I got a Wren and Cuff Pickle Pie B which does more or less the same but with a clean blend. Comes with original packaging and papers. [s]Price: 65£[/s] CATALINBREAD DIRTY LITTLE SECRET MK III A Marshall head in a stompbox. This version has 2 modes: SuperBass and SuperLead. As you might expect, the SuperBass fits the bass quite well. Comes with original packaging and papers. Demo on guitar: https://www.youtube....h?v=wWQMtDTPyxo [s]Price: 100£[/s] IBANEZ WH10V2 This is a reissue of the Ibanez WH10 that Frusciante uses. It has a dedicated bass mode and a range pot so it's as good for bass as it is for guitar. Great condition, almost as new (I discovered I prefer autowah due to my lack of coordination). Comes with original packaging and papers. Price: [s]45£[/s]40£ EXH LITTLE BIG MUFF PI A smaller version of the Big Muff, does the job as well as its bigger brother.Although more a guitar pedal than a bass pedal, it's somehow usable if you turn off the tone knob. Comes with original packaging and papers. Demo on guitar: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0jDgP-eXYaY [s]Price: 30£[/s] MOOER REPEATER Digital delay with modulation and kill switch modes. Tiny, great build quality and sound. This is as almost as new as it can be: I've only played it once because I bought it along with a Reecho and kept the latter on the board. Comes with original packaging and papers. Demo (on guitar): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WAarZG8E6rU Price: [s]40£[/s][s]35£ [/s]30£ BOSS BF-2 Great flanger for both guitar and bass, this is a total classic. I have a BF-2B that I'm keeping for sentimental reasons and honestly they sound almost the same: no low end loss. Some guy's demo: https://www.youtube....h?v=WSTwKYaUWkk [s]Price: 40£[/s] SEYMOUR DUNCAN ANTIQUITY I RAISED A PRECISION PICKUPS Sweet, woody, vintage sounding pickups. These don't have anything on them that says they're Seymour Duncans so you'll have to trust me. Before they got discontinued, these were selling for ~130£. I'm asking far less in appreciation for your trust. Come with foam and metal plate. [s]Price: 45£[/s] FENDER ROAD WORN JAZZ BASS PICKUPS These were on my Fender Road Worn Jazz Bass. Good pickups, vintage sound and aged looks. [s]Price: 35£[/s]
12. No digital fuzz thank you
13. I don't mind having a volume boost, but I can't cope with ALL the volume knob being a boost. A fuzz is a highly compressed sound, so even if the volume is attenuated, the loudness and perceived volume are much higher than the clean signal. It's the lack of headroom what bothers me, and the fact that if I have my volume on the bass rolled down a bit I can't have the fuzz at that same volume, because the compression will make it almost as loud as with the bass at full volume, and that's a pretty common situation for me. Also when I said unity is at 7 that doesn't mean the most gain of the pedal has unity volume at 7. Usually the pedals I've tried have a very low unity volume setting at roughly half of the gain, so full gain means it's impossible to get the same volume as the clean signal. The only fuzz I've found so far that handles volume nicely is the EHX Bass Bif Muff but it's not the kind of synthy sound I'm looking for at the moment.
14. Hi there. I've tried a few fuzz boxes over the years and one thing that really bothers me about most of them is the big jump in volume they all have when engaged. For me a pedal that I have to set at 7 o'clock to get unity volume with the clean signal it's a no-no. I remember trying so far: EHX Whoolly Mammoth, Malekko B:Assmaster & Diabolik, JHS 4 Wheeler, some Devi Ever stuff (volume is always crazy in those), WH Swollen Pickle, Fuzzrocious Grey Stache, Death By Audio Fuzz War. Is there any fuzz with a reasonable volume control out there? I'm looking for a synthy sound (e.g. Diabolik).
15. I've recently bought a Wren and Cuff Pickle Pie B. It's basically a Swollen Pickle with less controls, voiced for bass and with a blend control, and that control makes a world of a difference from any other Muff-type pedal. Also mine has a mid scoop switch (custom option). 100% recommended. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Njv_4Hhd3v4

EHX Hot Tubes Nano

Just bought one Hot Tubes yesterday and recorded a short demo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H4AWKQvGMn0&feature=youtu.be It is indeed quite dark and muddy but fortunately doesn't lose much low end if you turn up the tone. The full gain sounds too farty and harsh to my taste, I prefer it as a mild boost/overdrive to fatten the bass.
17. Hi guys I've just uploaded a short demo of the EHX Lumberjack on bass. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AWHkD_Zx76I&feature=youtu.be IMO it is actually more a fuzz than an overdrive, and it reminds me a bit to some of the sounds that I can get from my Malekko Bassmaster, but WAY cheaper, as it costs just 50 pounds and comes with a 200mA power supply (apparently all new Nanos do).

Dirty Hot Cake

Hi guys I've been recording a wee song and I liked the sound I got out of my Hot Cake. https://soundcloud.c...-pag-n/dirty-hc The EQ and other stuff is in the description. There is a limiter on the master bus to raise the loudness, but no EQ or compression other than the amp and the pedal itself.
19. I had a Turbo RAT, it was useless to me without some means of blending the clean and distorted signal (e.g. an LS-2)... too much loss of low end.

EHX Hot Tubes Nano

I tried the Glove today and man it is a loud pedal. I had to set the volume almost at zero to match the level without the effect. The sound itself reminded me of my Tech21 Leeds: midrangey (but retains bass) with a crisp high end, but I didn't like the absence of a blend or bass control. The mid shift switch is a bit pointless for bass IMHO as it makes the sound too clanky. I ended up buying a Lumberjack which sounds great on bass, quite like an old school fuzz, similar to some of the tones that I can get from my Malekko Bassmaster and has some sort of blend too, since the Booster control is just your clean signal, although it breaks up to a mild overdrive past noon. Also, no issues with the volume at all. I am looking forward to trying the Hot Tubes, I hope the store receives some for the next weekend.
21. Bought an MXR Octave Deluxe. Fast transaction & delivery. Well packed and perfect in function. Cheers!
22. That is the most absolute badass thing ever. f*** hexaphonic pickups.
