  1. Hi, For sale I have this beauty of a Jazz Bass made in Mexico. It’s a great looking bass, plays well with nice action, and sounds ace. Had it a few years, fitted with Noiseless pickups, Active circuitry. There a few little chips/dings here and there. On the front of the headstock, there is seperation of the nitro glaze over the logos and branding. You can see this in the photos. Comes with hard case. Hard case has some slight damage as seen in pic. I’d say it’s more of a pale yellow than Fender Vintage White perception. £450 posted within UK
  2. Hi, I’m getting some bad gas for the Darkglass amp range. Sounds great. Always liked the B3k and was on pedal board up until recently. That said I love the Aguilar TH500. It always sits in the mix really well and a nice weight behind each note. Doesn’t sound weedy and thin. It’s a takes a bit of familiarisation around the gain, drive and master controls to truly utilise it. Does the Darkglass allow you to switch in the overdrive/distortion or is either one or the other always on? From what I’m reading doesn’t sound like you can have an always on VMT, then switch to increase the drive, sounds like it would be to switch to the B3k mode? Another question, on say the Microtubes 500 it says minimum 4 ohm’s. So I can’t use one single 8ohm cab? Anyone any experience with both? Rational for choosing one over the other? Cheers Tony

  4. Decent amp, what minimum power to drive these comfortably? That said I’m nowhere near London! 😂
  5. It’s just an original M80 bass gig bag that pal. Not a Vertigo or Sleeve.

  10. Hi, I’ve had a USA jazz loaded with some Aero Type 1’s for a few years now and have loved the sound. I had no reason to question the noise I was making with them. Highly rated pickups. Recently I got re-issue Mexican Jazz with some decent upgrades one of which was the pickups, it’s loaded with some Nordstrand NJSV4’s. God it sounds good. Lots of bark and really makes me smile. So I’m thinking of trialling some Nords in the USA and do a bit of a comparison. Out of action for a while after a hand operation, so whilst I deliberate and torture myself of the possibilities I thought I’d put it out there. Anyone else experience of both, tonal observations? Cheers Tony
  11. Mike purchased an Octave pedal from me. He paid quickly and kept good lines of communication throughout. Pleasure to deal with.
  12. Tech 21 VT Bass Deluxe absolutely mint, with box and instructions. Hasn’t been out of the house. This pedal allows you to save multiple presets of your favourite tones. Its a truely great piece of kit. Save a good few quid on new price. £200 Now £190 posted within UK
  13. Congrats Wolfgang. Seems like you're the first on here to get their hands on an MS-3 (although I think Sibob has one on order too?). If you get a chance to A/B it with a B3n (my current goto multifx, which I'm a big fan of) then that would be very interesting. I totally get what you're saying about it being able to streamline your pedal board! I know that dedicated pedals are going to be (or should be!) individually better for their specialist effect (particularly as they can EACH cost what my Zoom B3n costs). But I'm not yet convinced, for most gigs below professional level, that any member of the audience is going to notice the difference between dedicated pedals and a half decent multifx for the bass player in the wider live band mix. So any more thoughts on this now it’s been gigged and abused. That’s also open to anyone else who purchased. 😀
  14. Yeah, I’ve reduced it. It is absolutely spanking though. Not a mark on it.

    Boss GT-1B

I can’t believe I have only just stumbled upon the existence of the Boss GT-1B! So now I’m intrigued to hear people’s experiences and thoughts. So digging this up. I do have a Zoom B3n, i find myself more recently using the Tech 21 Flyrig as I find the analogue amp sims just do it for me. I wish it had some presets though like the zoom, so I don’t have to faff in a live situation. What are amp tones like on the Boss? Use?
  18. Superb Octave pedal in original box. Excellent condition. £100 posted in UK
  19. Hi, What are the best non pro options for capturing live audio and video. Im presuming nobody gets anything of any real quality via a mobile device? What’s best bang for buck? Anything out there under £200 smackers? Cheaper the better. i was thinking good options for capturing the odd rehearsal or some of my bass playing bad habits !! cheers Tony
