Didn't know it was back on and I don't really care. I could be here all day going on about how it is the very worst thing I hate about the music industry

Not really, I don't really care about what age the people in the band are as it is the performance that matters and I'm 16. Greenday are all in their forties and many others are also in that range that us youngsters listen to.

Why is everyone saying white? Black is the best! Even though it is a pain to keep clean, it looks better in my opinion and it suits more genres better!

Can tell that something is off, just sounds messy! Well I only listened to it for a few seconds but that was mainly because I couldn't be bothered...

I'm the only person that actually likes these sort of road-worn, nearly falling apart finishes? If they sounds and plays fine then I'm all over it. Or I'm just the minority again....

Looks interesting but not really my ideal festival. Leeds and Download for me! (Glastonbury would be nice as well if it was closer and if was able to get tickets) Does have some interesting names to it I have to say like Elton John, Fleetwood Mac but I don't really listen to any of them.

I have got this book! I was going to put something about it but then I forgot. I love it, but I haven't read much about it. I just love looking at the pictures, they make me happy

To be honest, never heard of them or the artists that use them. At the of the day I know what size I like mine so I use them. I don't also see the need for paying that much when I lose mine really easily. I bough 5, lost 4 in one day. They just vanish!

To be honest with you, I'm bored but the whole idea of this is not underrated bassists (it may seem like it, but it is not to me) but bassists (in a band or solo) which show great potential or do a great job in fulling their role. Whether this be by cool rifts or a brilliant display of skill, with more potential to become better. I'm going to get things started with two of my favourite bassists. Tom Doyle - Don Broco This guy has style and awesome rifts. It is hard to describe without listening to it but it quite funky but also rocky. To me it shows a bit of diversity in his abilities. A weird thing he does is use a 5 string, when the guitarist uses a 6 string guitar, but it is also peculiar in that genre of music. I've never seen someone use a 5 string in this Brit Rock/Pop-Punk style of music before. If I did, it was probably due to a tribute band and the bassist was used to a 5 string but never used the B string, but he does! It is part of the reason why I find him so good. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2o-bAHQs1cc Luke Prebble - Canterbury My favourite out of the two and one of my top ten bassists at this moment. He is very talented when I heard the chorus of Diver, I instantly feel in love with it. Most of it is quite good and is a good example of there can be brilliant bassists in that genre. It is not that one song has a good bassline feel, it is most of them. I have only listen to one song where is it simple and a bit boring (one of their bests though) but this can easily be forgiven as he always makes him self heard through the other instruments. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1jyZT9kmesg (Wait for the chorus at 1:03) So, tell us all who you think is an upcoming bassist of the future or really good unheard ones.

I love it! I love these sort of bands! I wont go and start comparing you as it could offend you and sometimes my comparisons aren't right!

[/quote] Depends who you are really, as I'm 16 so to get £500 takes a while and working is not ideal as I have to study, but when I'm older and have a job that wouldn't be too bad I guess. It depends who you are.

A 43% increase is not really fair and doesn't look good. They are really just saying "hey, bassists, we don't really care about you." Even though the market is smaller for bass strings shouldn't they one, be the same percentage increase as the guitar strings, you would still make if the same percentage of profit probably, two would it make that much of a difference as yes material costs are going up but the 43% seems too much and is going to drive so people away.

I don't, I'm a bedroom player so there is no money. I was part of a band put we didn't gig as it was just for fun and we did have a drummer later on. I have made a total of £150 doing 2 shows though so it is not that bad. At the end of the day I'm 16 so there is not much money for me to make any way.

I could see all honest intentions but if I had to pay I don't think that I would bother. If there is a membership fee I wouldn't mind if they got bonuses or perks, or even me getting some things taken off me. As long as I can use the main site for free as it would continue to bring in more members which is good.

When I do play for this Irish band they merge Tell Me Ma and In Dublin's Fair City together. They didn't tell me at first so I just followed the chords I was given. It was very interesting!
