1. I have never given it a though to be fair! Now I have! I have a GT10-B effects unit which I have never used, forgive my ignorance, I am no techie, but could I use this into the PA? Keep meaning to get rid of it, but maybe should keep it!
2. Following your leads, just typed in 1960s Japenese bass guitar, and this popped up on USA auction site! still dont know make though. Appear to be lots of variations on same body, (different hardware etc) I have at last found pics, but at least now know it is 1960S AND Japenese! Thanks BC,ers to the rescue again.
3. Thanks guys, Yeh, it is definetly not a Dallas Tuxedo, and yes, truss rod cover and scratch plate match. I will follow up some of your links, see if I can discover any more. Its quite interestings stuff really, I bought it with a view to restoring/customising it, but it has sat in its case,(probably the original, heavy as hell!) under my bed ever since. I dont suppose i will ever get around to doing anthing with it! Thanks again guys Ray
4. Thanks BJ, much appreciated
5. I have posted this once before with just one pic. It has a decal on head saying TUXEDO BASS but no idea if it is an 'add on' scratch plate is metal and looks original. I have scoured internet to no avail. any help appreciated. it was very cheap, and I am just really curious. Thanks guys.
6. I did an 'online' exam, quiet detailed, and quite legal! gives you a very good idea, and a certificate. I guess that would qualify you in a court as being competent. (Then sold all my PAT equipment to fund a new amp so waste of time really)!!!!
7. Had my first gig with my Streamliner 900 and compact last night. Large sports type hall with 'sprung' wooden floor. I have not experience/noticed 'boom' before and at first, soundman though it was problem with mics, however having read a lot recently on BC with reference to this problem, I stuck the only thing available underneath the compact, the box from the streamliner!! not perfect, but helped. will looking urgently at making something now, cant afford to pay out £50
8. Mine has gone out too, on my recently aquired 2nd hand 900, contacted Fender, within one hour had a reply asking for my address to send new ones out F.O.C. Good service in my book
9. Thanks for the input Guys, as I said, I am not looking to buy at present, just curious. If, once I have gigged this rig, I decide I want 'something extra' then maybe I will look again, but was just asking, to maybe have the info to hand so to speak.
10.
You'd have to hear it to decide if it is to your liking. The strange thing to me is why you would want to.... You have a light cab ( easy carry ) which can put out bass so it is not bass light. The number of times you hear people wanting to run another cab...?? not really the single cab solution you'd think..??
Dude, its just a question, I am interested to see if it was feasible, I have not gigged my rig yet, so no idea what I want, and as I said, budget blown, so just an idle query
11. Posted Yesterday, 02:38 PM [sub]Hi Ray Thanks for your custom mate,You keeped your word and picked up amp when you said you would, all you got to do now is blast everyone with ya great rig.[/sub] NOTE; PASTED FROM LOWNOTES OWN FEEDBACK, LEFT ON THERE NOT ON MINE. Ray
12. Good morning folks, Right, just to start, I will say that i have recently purchased a BF compact, and a Streamliner 900, so my budget is now zero.! Also, I know the general concensus is, if you want an extra 12" cab to go with a compact, then go for a midget or another compact. That said, I just want to ask, has anyone had the experience of using something different with a compact, such as the Shroeder 12L, for sale on here? does it mix ok? cheers Ray
13. Welcome mate, amazing stuff you learn on here, for instance, I never realised that I was unhappy with my old Peavey rig before I joined here, I always thought it was cool, but I was soon put right by the wonderfully helpful guys on here, and found out that I what I really wanted, was barefaced cab and Genz Benz amp! not having to carry around my heavy wallet is also a bonus, as it has lightened considerably since joining! enjoy Dude.
14. Just bought amp from Paul. excellent transaction very accommodating especially as he placed a trust in me despite being let down by two previous persons! Thanks Paul would not hesitate to recommend or trade with you again.

Raggy

Just collected by BF Compact from Steve, Great Guy, great communication, VERY patient! (he had to be with me, had collection probs for ages). I would not hesitate to deal with him again, He also looks after his gear, if the compact is anything to go by, its immaculate, looks brand new. Cheers Steve, top Dude.
16. Havng spend lots of time, ploughing through songs, and learning in diferent keys to suit our singer, I have come up with an idea to make life easier. probably should be in the for sale section however, may I introduce, THE TESTICULAR CAPO available in various colours. Doing this in work so dont know if picture will download
17.
I guess I'm vain too in that I couldn't be happy paying for and regularly playing something that I see to be ugly. Luckily, I love the look of the '69er; no visible ports, and a lovely silver cloth grill. I don't really have an issue with the painted finish. The only BF cab I really dislike the look of is the one with the big baffle across the driver holding a tweeter. It just looks odd to me. Btw, I think that the thread title is a bit misleading - not pricing issues as such, just a query on Barefaced resale values. Unless the 'issue' is that they can't afford one, in which case I have big 'issues' with Ritter and Celinder :-D
Yeh, sorry guys, title is misleading! does this mean I am now banned from the BF lovers club, or will I be strapped to an amp and beaten with a stick? (not the first one please, only just bought my compact!!)
18. Lol will do dude, cant wait now
19. Right you horrible lot, I knew it was a mistake to mention these cabs, I have just bought a secondhand compact!! You have forced my hand
20. I am beginning to hate you lot! all I wanted was an idea of prices, with a view to maybe buying one second hand, now I am desperate to get one
21. bloody hell! Once again, a comment about BF cabs, brings out everyone defending them. In my original post, I stated 'I really, really, really want one!' I also said they are expensive, but are probably worth it! my query was, would the G3 cabs, bring down the resale value of the G1. However, lots of people seem to take it as a slight on the product! I reiterate, i want one!!!! I just cant afford it at present, I have nothing against them!
22. Don't get me wrong guys, if I had the money, I would have ordered one by now! I am well aware of the benefits, but I am just curious about the effects of gen 3 on gen 1 prices
23. Firstly, and before the Barefaced Police send round a hit squad, to burn down my house, let me quantify my position on these cabs, A) I know very little about them, other than what I have read, They are bloody expensive, worth it? probably, but expensive all the same C) I really, really, really want one!! ok that said, watching the ones for sale, the seem to go almost before they are even posted! very popular indeed, and for not a great deal less than the original purchase price. Until this week. There have been a few on here, that are hanging around, and even a Dubster on evilbay, that's still there. It is my humble opinion, that the introduction of the 3rd generation cabs, has made people stop and think, before parting with hard earned cash. I guess, in a long winded way, what I am trying to ascertain, is, what is a first generation barefaced now worth? are the prices finally reducing to a sensible level, for gen 1 at least, or is it just a blip? Sorry for lack of paragraphs, for some reason, I cannot get cursor to shift down!
