Marleaux
coool haha im kinda interested in the programable eq because it could come in handy but i dont think i could afford one with that though! haha well il buy one eventually, watch this space
Definately man...if you can get up there, i'd go and check out the range that Promenade Music have in mate, Gary the guy who runs the guitar/bass section, he's a really sound chap and won't give you any hassle, he'll just let you do what you do and answer any questions you have. They really are fantastic bass though mate!
18. replied to and phone call exchanged...thanks
19. I'm gonna throw the cat amongst the pigeons as they say! As a proud owner of the Thunderfunk, i'm surprised you can't get that tone! When looking to buy mine, i spent tonnes of time trying out different amps etc, and i'd settled on an Eden, i loved the warmth and tone i got from one...but then Flanker unleashed his Thunderfunk on me, and...well...wow!!!!! Just surprised a little i guess, however, the Edens are great amps!!! Enjoy it!

Marleaux
to be honest, marleaux must be some of the nicest basses on the eye ive ever seen. never had any experience but im dying to try one, i read something about certain ones having a programmable tone or something an i really want one of them haha these must be the only bass company that have ever interested me this much so in the future im surly to buy one myself
I totally understand what you mean about nice on the eye. They were the first custom instruments that i ever really got into, looks wise, and i'm glad i managed to eventually buy one. As for the eq...they do indeed have programmable eq, basically, you can set the frequency that you want to boost/cut, it's a bit of a complicated system at first, but it seems quite cool, although, i'm glad mine hasn't got it!!!
21. Check out some Alain Caron mate, he kicks ass! Also, Hadrien Feraud has some fretless playing on John McLaughlin's Industrial Zen. I'd also suggest watchin Steve Bailey's videos on the Bass player TV website, there's some real gems on those videos. You've of couse got Gary Willis to listen to, he's a nutter on the fretless!!! There's tonnes of stuff out there though mate...
22. Nice one man...hooray for fretless basses!!! I might get a ramp put on my Marleaux...hmmm!!!!
23. Hi Dan, are you open to trades at all? I've just put up a wanted post for a 6 string, i've got my Jazz and Smith up for grabs if you fancy them?
24. Keep an eye on the US ebay and Talkbass, they occasionally come up there, and i'd definately hold out for the GWB1 as opposed to the cheaper model, the feel a lot nicer to me!
25. Hi mate...that's cool!!! I'll see what i can do, i was planning on meeting up with some friends in Watford and getting the train in from there, and with the times being as they are, it should be a bit more feesable as i'll be able to get back to Grantham for a reasonable time too My concern is the traffic i'm likely to hit on the M1 on my way to Watford...hmmm!!! We'll see mate...hopefully we can sort out something though! Thanks Jamie
