5. Cheers for the comments guys. She is an absolute beauty. It does growl quite a bit - as much as my wenge necked Warwick Corvette does anyway, but I can get the same sound with a lighter touch on the Shuker. Don't have to dig in as much. Can't dig in too much anyway because of the ramp, which is an absolute revelation by the way. Jons neck finish is fantastic. The neck looks like a Warwick, but feels satin smooth. Very nice. Still trying to find my way around as it's my first sixer!
6.
What a gorgeous bass. Can I have it?
Yes... of course. If you give me lots of money....
7.
I would
I have! Although my recent bout of tennis elbow is sarting to hamper me a little...
8. Firstly, apologies that these are terrible mobile phone camera pictures, but since I'm about the worst photographer on the planet that doesn't really make that much difference! Here she is in all her LED, wenge and maple (birdseye and quilted) glory! Enjoy Also apologies they're all the wrong way up...
9. I'm looking for a Status Series 3000 as a gigging bass at the minute and the 'wanted' sections of here and the Statii forum just don't seem to be getting the job done. How about setting up some sort of club where everyone looking for a certain bass can register their desired bass and if anyone sees one for sale they can post a 'spotted' post? Stupid idea?

11. A few questions Steve. What string spacing will these have at the bridge on the 5 string? Any rough pricing yet?
12. Hi guys, Haven't had a chance to take any pics yet, but will do tonight. Suffice to say that Jon Shuker is a genius. This thing is exactly what I wanted. Sounds awesome and plays even better. I'm already planning number 2 - one I won't be afraid to take out of the house! Cheers Ian
13. And all I can say (or have time to say now!) is WOW! This thing is f***ing incredible!
14. According to her-indoors "The eagle has landed".... Of course I'm at work, so am entirely pissed off!
15. If I wasn't already GASing for a Status bass I'd have these in a shot. I have the 4x12 version and it's a total monster!

18. I was so impressed with the lowdown 110 that I immediately thought of buying one for gigging, since all our stuff goes through the PA anyway... then we had a nightmare gig where the mixer gave up and we needed to use the backline to get through the gig. The wee 1x10 couldn't have handled that! *(thinking) I suppose since we had 15 minutes of fiddling between PA going down and us deciding to use the backline I would have had time to get a proper rig from the van.... this idea has merit! (thinking)*

20. Non of this is helping my unexpected-headless-graphite GAS...
21. I had a similar problem with a set of EMG J pickups. Can't remember exactly where the problem was, but it was a wiring error made by moi...
22. Can anyone suggest a reasonably cheap keyboard to get started playing synth bass on? Alesis Micron?
23. Yeah he's been playing Tobys for years, most of which have been modded with EMGs and diferent bridges - he has threatened to retire the though!)). He's also played Fernandes for years. Apparently a few of the guys from Tobias went on to work in the Fernandes custom shop and he had them build him a few basses. He's also used imported MTD stuff (during his Ozzy days - used to be called Grendels but can't remember the new model name), Fenders with Black Label Society, had a signature Zon 5 and played Musicman 5 strings when he moved to Metallica. His most recent addition is his custom shop Warwick 5. It's based on a Stage 1 streamer but has a Gotoh roler bridge and jazz pickups in non-Warwick positions. There's probably many more. It's quite refreshing to see a guy of Robs stature playing whatever he feels like... pity he's not getting to really show off his chops with 'tallica, although anybody who can play 'Battery' with fingers as well as he does deserves mucho respect!
24. The smallest Line6 combo (the Lowdown Studio 110) is an excellent sounding small combo and has some serious welly for a 12" cube!
25.
That's what I did - and you have the advantage of owning the bass to start with. Here's my 'before and after' for you. he 'after' has nice black chrome knobs too now.
My current threads in the 'wanted' section here, and on the statii forum, are all your fault Dave. That's a corking looking bass mate.
