3.
Would it go on a MIM Jazz?
i fitted it latterly to an AMXN precision special...although made in usa stamped on the headstock i have been told it made in mexico and assembled in the usa the point being that all the fenders using leo's bent piece of metal should take a badass II direct if your bridge has 5 holes the screws holding the original bridge should be ok with the badass...i dont have any screws with this one but if you are keen to have it i will have a rummage in my dead basses parts in the garage to see if there are any that look as if they can be used in fact i should do that anyway if in doubt put your query on a thread and the experts and more experienced fender men will give you some advice keep in touch and good luck geof

 6. we dont all use the same pre amps, amplifiers, speakers etc or even play the same way better or best takes a lot of quantification sonically better criteria are build, finish and playability...but then we dont all have the same hands

 8. a classic case of chacun son gout..to each his own..paraphrased hence the loathing of fenders, rickenbackers, and others including status and wal as played by world class players good post and quite clear on attitude...no backslapping or patronisation i have a SR5 and have had a ric and fender and am not so over the moon with them good call cheers
 9.
Hello, mates, I'm not of the UK, new to this site and relatively new to playing the bass, coming over from guitar. I recently traded in my short-scale Squier for a Fender CIJ '54 reissue P-bass, the 'flower power' design, and I may want to replace the 2-saddle bridge, which is a string-through, three-screw unit. I've read pros and cons of Badass bridges and suggestions for Gotohs. Has anyone swapped out this particular bass that can recommend a good change?
if its string through you dont need a hi mass bridge...you have the body doing all the work on that score for intonation on each saddle i would only go for a later similar bridge as fitted on early precisions with through body stringing if you dont like t.b.s. then the badass is a possibility.. but i feel that would be inferior to the t.b.s. concept which doesnt need a bridge than for just supporting the strings at the saddles and offering adjustment for action and intonation basically what you have if your intonation criteria really necessitates individual string adjustment then suggestion above applies and retains the retro look of the instrument hi mass and t.b.i. arent needed at the same time cheers

 18. welcome best bass is really geared to your budget, then your anticipated style, and then resale potential which i feel is most important most start off on a bass which satisfies the above and then get dis satisfied via listening and watching others on CD and DVD and live i guess the most generically accepted model for really starting on is the fender P clone/ model which is pretty extensive and quite a jungle of models and marques...it doesnt have to be fender there is a great market out there in price and value for money for low budget playing go for 4 string passive and learn to play well with what you eventually get
