  4. Heya dude, has this gone?
  5. Love mine! Makes festival f.o.h. happy and sound good
  6. Here's my Wampler Tape Echo, bought for a project that never came to fruition, sounds great, really great, I just have no use for it now so it's time for a new home. Condition is v good, no box sadly but will be well packaged for uk postage. Pedal is in Hope Valley if local collection is easier but uk postage is a.o.k also.

Will bought my Labella short scale strings, flawless transaction as ever, thanks dude
  13. Paid £45.40 from bass direct this week, laid the E string against my Hofner short scale bass and it's not long enough as the silk got as far as half way across the first fret. "Short Scale Set: Distance from Ball-End to Silk is 32 1/4″; only the silk portion of the string should wrap around the tuning post" E string has a kink in the silked section from my 'trying it for size', other strings not even uncoiled from the packaging. price includes uk postage.
  14. I'm Andy Dye, or did you mean the ebay personage? I can dm you their ebay id but I'm not comfortable with public name and shame
  15. Done a couple of gigs with it so far and I'm loving it yes, it's a bit tricky for swapping basses on the fly, and... no a bass won't sit in the case if it has the strap attached, but... both basses are lovingly and firmly held by the foam inserts it is super easy to wheel around, watch it on tight corners if you're going quickly though as it may topple over it feels super lightweight compared to my skb i-series single bass case which is amazing I still have to drop a seat in my car to get it in the accessory pouch thingy is big enough for my strap, cable, battery pack, earplugs and a 'tile' tracker thingy
  16. Headless? ha, no I don't think so, it was a little strange... spec so far: Series 2 6 string 24 fret 34" scale 58mm nut width (closer to 9.5mm string spacing) 17.5mm spacing at bridge flames walnut front and back thicker pin stripe in maple to both mahogany core 7 piece neck maple, walnut & wenge set neck ebony board luminlay side dots brass nut smaller medium frets 18v 2x EMG TWX pickups EMG BQC preamp Hipshot A style bridge black hardware schaller tuners probably
  17. update... having tried my good friend Chris' Warwick thumb 6 and WoodnTronics headless 6, I have a finer handle on what does and doesn't work the Warwick measured as 9mm string to string at the nut, and 17.5mm spacing at the bridge WoodnTronics 10mm string to string at the nut 16mm at the bridge The 10mm at the nut felt good, but the 17.5mm at the bridge worked better so I think I'm content with that combo ...for now
  18. oo! I'll find out how tight our timings are for arrival and soundcheck etc and see if I can nip out between our soundcheck and doors while the supports are setting up
  19. ahh thanks matey, much appreciated I'll be playing the hot box in chelmsford on Thu 25th April with my band The Fargo Railroad Co if that's anywhere near you and you fancy an evening of americana / country rock?
  20. thanks dude, I'm either going for 17 or 17.5mm I think, it's the nut width I need to make sure I'm comfortable with now
  21. Brethren, I'm hankering for a Shuker 6 string (34" scale B-C), in itself a fine thing, but, questions of nut width, and string spacing have come up and I want to get this right so... Are there any 6 string lovers within an hour's drive of me who would allow me to come hang out for half an hour or so and try your 6 string basses so I can get a feel for whether any particular necks feel more 'me' than others?
