1. Oooh Oooh another bash lol!!!! Sounds like a good a idea to me, will let you know for certain when a date is set. Pete.
2.
Lighter fluid. Just don't smoke while you're doing it
+1 Lighter fluid (the petrol type) was the only thing that removed a sticker on a cab that I'd had for 20 years and never got round to removing. Pete.
3. You might get away with it but I doubt it. I think you will still be charged duty and VAT on its actual value - but like you say this is near zero. Pete.
4.
GUESS WHAT I'VE GOT.
Caps lock stuck on? I have a Stingray and a Sterling, prefer the sound of the ray but the Sterling feels and plays great. Never tried a bongo, was offered one last week but have no spare bass cash at the mo. Bongos are fugly bog seat lookalikes though (im my humble opinion lol). Pete.
5.
I've got to agree with Homer here - You need a dead rabbit.
Techically it doesn't have to be dead, at least not to start with.
6.
BTW - proper bass players use their ears , whichever bit they choose to sound a string with doesn't really matter much.
I find using my ears to sound the strings most inconvenient and painful
7. Well after what seems like an age, I've finally got all the bits for my home studio connected up, still need some decent monitors, the PA is a bit OTT lol. This lot is in the spare bedroom, bet the neighbours love me Here's the Roland VS-2400 along with the 3100 Pro to give 16 simultaneous inputs for recording. These are flightcased for recording on the road: In the background you can see the EQ, effects, drum machine, midi module and Akai Z8 sampler. The patchbay is not connected in yet. Currently driving the stack of cabs is our PA rack: No wonder the wife left Hopefully we will be doing some recording in the next few weeks/months. Apologies for the quality of the pics, used my mobile. Pete.
8. I take it you've tried a new battery?
9. I use a Thomann one but it only holds 6 stands. Weighs a ton when full mind so good luck lugging 10 around if you find a suitable bag. Pete.
10. I decided to wire up a bass with series/parallel push/pull switches on each pickup but I find I always use the series setting on both pups. The parallel setting lacks the volume and bottom end on this particular bass. It might be a different story on other pickups, the ones in question a MECs on a fretless bass. Pete.
11. Welcome to the forum, it is a friendly place most of the time. Pete.
12. Depends on the model. I paid £350 for a 410 Pro second hand, they are about £700 new. Half the retail price is a good starting point, just spotted the new price in your message so I guess it's not the pro model - offer him £100. Pete.
13. Cakewalk SONAR 7, dunno really was just being a dick Pete.

Don't get drunk and listen to the engineer's advice.
15. IMO the thump and whistle are an indication of either a poor design or a fault. Pete.
16.
Are you allowed to pass on the credit note? Someone would probably buy it off you for £175
I'll start the bidding at £1.00
17.
Fuschia.
He was only asking
18. You put the BIN at £1000 this time but still mention £900 in the blurb. Nice bass btw, good luck with the sale. Pete.
19.
It says I am only covered up to £150. I have registered a dispute with Paypal. When I try to do the same with Ebay it just takes me straight to the paypal dispute page.
I've raised two disputes with PayPal (you can't dispute with eBay if you paid with Paypal ) and in both cases I received the goods within two days. Hopefully the same will happen for you. Pete.

21. Hey Chris, I just read that and thought it was about me - apart from the misus bit, divorced her a few years back when she moaned about my bass gear Welcome to the forum from a fellow 40 something from the Derbys/Staffs area. I'm sure you'll enjoy it here, Pete.
22.
Ashdown said it sounds like my output devices going soft
Nasty try imodium
23. I bought a Yamaha TRB-6II and a Warwick 5 String Fretless from Peter in the summer of 2006 (can't remember the exact date). He answered my questions quickly and did me a fine deal on the two basses. They both arrived within a day or two and were well packaged and exactly as described. Would I deal with him again? Absolutely!!! Pete.
