1. 95kg with the flightcase! And they're offering shipping! Absolute fridge.
2.
Yes I was writing my reply this morning then realised the difference - I was thinking about leap years etc and whether one would mean a day extra! It's definitely 365 days worth whenever you decide to start the sub. It includes 365 24/7 online support from yours truly - I'm always happy to help at any time.
This is pretty geeky and nobody else really cares ( ) but how does the technical side of it work? Does paying the fee add you to a hidden user group that allows you to start a topic in the sales forums or is it something completely different? Just curious.
3. My band's, The Commonjets, latest single was released in March of this year, haven't posted it up here yet, so here we are. It's called Archive, it was recorded over 3 days in December 2015 at The Chairworks Studios in Leeds (if anyone's been there you'll know how great it is)! Bit of trivia, the main desk we used was previously owned by Gary Barlow, but he hasn't ruined it fortunately... The track was produced, mixed and mastered by Stephen Whitfield, who's previously engineered and produced for The Cure and Fossil Collective amongst others (more here) and he did a really great job! You can listen here for free! A bit about us as a band from our press release: The Commonjets are a four-piece rock band from Coventry who have been together since 2011. The band has played countless gigs at high-profile festivals including Isle of Wight Festival, Godiva Festival and supported bands such as The Enemy and The Sherlocks. The latest single ‘Archive’ was released on 18[sup]th[/sup] March 2016 and was produced by Steve Whitfield (The Cure, Fossil Collective), and recorded at The Chairworks Studios, Leeds. The track continues to draw positive industry attention: “These boys are a favourite of mine, and their new release Archive, takes them to another level.” The Empire, Coventry (Co-founded by Tom Clarke of The Enemy.) “The new single Archive is another great sounding track from The Commonjets, loving the energy lads. Keep it up.” Pete Waterman, Jr. “Cool, polished. Great energy when they perform live.” BBC Introducing In 2015 The Commonjets released their first E.P entitled ‘Northern Quarter,' inspired by their trip to that very area of Manchester for a shoot with legendary rock ’n’ roll photographer Ian Tilton (The Stone Roses, Kurt Cobain). Later in the year the band were BBC Introducing’s ‘Band of the Month’ and played out of their home city with gigs in Manchester and London (Zombie Shack, Roadtrip & The Workshop.) Finally, in December 2015 the band were named as Coventry’s ‘Band of the Year’ by Pete Chambers BEM (Director - Coventry Music Museum). I used my Squier VM Jazz on this. Cheers for reading everybody, all listens and comments welcome. 4.
Here's one. http://www.richtonem...4fhsBoCgXfw_wcB
I own one of these, had since 2011. Lovely tone with Duncan Designed pickups, very versatile, gives a good bit of growl if you experiment enough. Always gets compliments in the studio, sometimes from acclaimed producers!
5. Sorry if this has already been done... Recommendations on a wall hanger for bass guitars? Didn't want to go and purchase one blindly in case some don't seem to like the weight of a bass etc etc... Cheers.
6. I'm over being precious about it. They're tools. They can be expensive or cheap. Tools wear out over time, even when used properly. Some last, some don't.
7. Had the same experience learning 'Signed, Sealed, Delivered'. Tried for days trying to get it, then one day it just clicked and suddenly it became a joy to play. Those experience are the best.
8. I bought the Elements version. All good, some features however missing which are really intuitive such as the Chord Assistant. However I don't think AI has this either. It does the job and UI is really friendly. With reference to the soundcard issue, no not at all. I use my Focusrite 2i2 in Cubase when I'm not using Logic. If you're on Windows just make sure you have the correct Focusrite drivers installed as don't think it's plug and play on there.
9.
That's a dead note, that's played but doesn't have a pitch as such, so muted.
Cheers thank you!
10. Slightly off-topic but within context of the song. Am i right in thinking this is a ghost note? Cheers.
11.
Any good ? http://sb02504edb3c6...to%20Peking.pdf
I've been wondering how to play this for a while myself. This sheet looks good! Thanks.
12. A Royal Blood-esque version of Come Together. If you think about that bass riff, with some nasty fuzz on top and a huge drum sound, that's what it is.
13. Hi all, Recent developments have seen half of my current band now reside in London for uni (we're from Coventry originally) and it's fitting that we now work our arses off in London while we have a kind of base down there. (A base meaning - student accomodation loves visitors and we like hauling gear up and down the country!) Can anybody recommend decent promoters or venues within London that are happy and willing to book bands properly? (Decent meaning - not those ones who rate bands on how many tickets they sell.) Obviously our lad down there will be scouting it out but I do a lot of the booking so I would appreciate any tips in the right direction. Much appreciated as always. Reuben. p.s cheekily, you can check us out if you are a LDN promoter! http://soundcloud.co...monjets/archive
14. Hi, In the summer, I'm off playing a festival in the Isle of Wight for a period of 4 days. I'm playing one set amplified, as my band usually are but then two sets, completely un amplified, where I will need an Acoustic Bass. I can't justify buying one, money is tight and there's a very slim chance I would need one again so soon, I can just picture it all alone, underplayed in my room. So does anyone know of any places where I can rent out an Acoustic Bass for that small period of time? I'm located in Coventry, West Midlands if that helps. Cheers.
15. Squier Classic Vibe as said above or a Squier Vintage Modified. The VMis cheaper and has Duncan designed pick ups but I do also like the CV as do most people. Either really.
16. It looks really nice and slick! Very tidy too. Tidy equals productive. Though I'm not sure how productive actual work would be in there though with that nice TC rig sitting in that corner!
17. Is there a thread for recommended rehearsal studios? If not I think it would be a good pinned topic as people sometimes struggle to find decent, well staffed and good serviced studios to practice in. Just a little thought.
18. Gotta love Rotosounds! Quality and also great service.
19. Love this.
20. NOW WITHDRAWN FROM SALE. Hi guys, Up for sale is my Ashdown MAG 300 EVO II Head. It's PRC Made but is absolutely brilliant. It has a great sound to it and is loud even when paired up with a 115 Mini Cab. The head is in great condition, there is a few marks and knocks on the corner protectors but the can't really be helped as I have gigged it a lot. The only major scratch is near the compression knob (see second picture) but that is only noticeable in a certain light/angle. As it is the carpet covered model, it does pick-up a bit of dust and hair but that can be easily took off by putting on a bit of tape and taking it off. It's 300 watts RMS, has 2 speaker outputs at 4 ohms minimum load. The compression feature is great, along with the EQ pre sets, Deep and Bright, which are great as well as the EQ itself being really flexible. I've never really used the sub-harmonics feature but that works perfectly fine. All inputs and outputs work fine, there is a slight crackle on the pots but that can be fixed with a bit of switch cleaner. (I will cldo that regardless of sale.) It's a great head and has served me well but I'm looking to upgrade. As it is in great condition, I'm selling it for 160.00 pounds ONO. (I'm willing to take a price drop but not too low.) Pics:
21. Hi, what year is this and is it the 300 watt or 600 watt combo as there has been 2 types? Pics would be nice as well thanks
