3.
Go on, spill.
+1
4. lol uv wanted one since i was about 1 lol!!! looks superb!
5. Who was it you saw live or on the Tv when you first started playing that inspired you not to play like them but to get a hell of alot better!! for me it was when i saw Dave Marks at music live a couple of years ago doing an EBS session! as i said it didnt make me think i wanted to start playing in that style. It just made me think 'God i cant come back here next year unless im a million times better than i am now' i then went and returned a year later a hell of alot better!!! so who's yours? Alex
6. TBH i respect him as i know hes a fantastic player and a million times better than me but the kinda stuff he plays just really aint for me! I like slap the way Marcus Miller does it but i really cant get into Vic's stuff! But then again its just my opinion and im sure half the population of basschat are gonna disagree with me!!
7. hey Max good to see youve joined! Get a pic up of ur tools!!! While im at it here a couple of pics of me in the studio a week or so ago!
8. cheers guys. Do u mean the top end of the bass? or just the highs in general? and if its the bass do you mean the low end or high? as far as the drums go our idiot of a drummer had his skins too loose and we didnt realise until they were recorded as they sounded alright when we tried em so they had to be held back a bit in the mix!
9. hey my band INERTIA have very recently gone into the studio to record our demo! Its the first time weve ever recorded in a studio and we had a great time doing it! I thought id share the tunes with you all Please have a listen and let me know what you think! to get to the myspace page with the songs click on the banner in my sig...or www.myspace.com/inertiatelford Thanks Alex
10. Great review! I have one and an extension cab! 99% of the time i use the extension cab but i only use it because it gives it a bit more low end! i just keep the volume down a bit more. However, i have used just the combo at a couple of shows and i always use it for practises and it kicks it out enough for them! I agree with the handles needing to be moved. Even on my 115 i find there crap as the way they are placed makes it fall to the side when 2 people are carrying it and with the 210 it kills your knees. It is very heavy and im only 15 so elom its not just old age! But all in all i think its a fantastic amp!
11. Being different can be a good thing!
12. in my band we dont have to wear any particular clothing but we usually all turn up in a black t-shirt, jeans and trainers, with a sweatband on one arm....obvioulsy its because we all like the same kinda styles but its only very recently weve played wearing a different cloured t-shirt etc...
13. What size venues do you play? That thing could be used at Wembley! Looks fantastic tho!
14. My lot: Ashdown Mag300 2x10, Mag1x15, Mexican Fender Jazz bass(with badass 2), All my pedals are in the toolboxes on top of the amps! And with my Harley Benton Music man copy! Alex
15. God there is some idiots on youtube...just looking at some of the comments...I bet most of them sit on the computer all day saying people are s**t, giving them 'there opinion' in the harshest words possible!... i bet most of them would struggle to play a blink 182 song!
16. epiphone thunderbird? The goth one is all black!
17. a band we played with last night had a ampeg Ba series amp...sounded great! might be worth a look!
18.
The jazz looks good, what colour is that? is it Midnight Wine? Are Harley Bentons decent basses? I know they're made by thomann and are really cheap, but thats about all I know about them.
Yeah its midnight wine! suprisingly yes they are very good basses...i paid £80 for that and i use it for backup and dropping down to D... Its got a great tone, the neck was a bit harder to get to rips with as its alot thicker than my jazz, but other than that its great... I put a spare set of D'darios(however u spell it) On when i got it tho as they were only cheap strings that came with it!
19. My band Inertia is Playing at the Little civic in wolverhampton tomorow night! Were supporting a band called Long Day Gone! Tickets are £5 doors open at 7.30... Come and have a look! Alex
20. My first real bass (paid for) was one of them same colour and everything...there great basses i must admit!
21. that looks great!!!! The neck looks really nice!
22.
Spoke to my tutor about Flea.....he reckons he's a one trick pony and if he had to play Jazz or something he wouldn't have a scooby.
Considering Flea grew up playing Jazz i doubt that! I think hes one of the best bassists about...hes been a huge influence on me! And its nice to see a decent bassist that doesnt just stand by his amp all the way through a show!
