  1. Wow. Basschat loved that reply so much it posted it many times!
  2. I think it looks great. A breath of fresh air for pedal lovers who want the convenience of a single unit. However, an entire 1/4 of the unit dedicated to delays and reverbs makes it a no from Stew! I literally have no use for them. Unless I can reprogram that section. Can I?
  3. If you decide to scratch the itch I recommend Affordaboard. Free post and based in the UK. Great company to deal with. I used it last night but really I need time with it. The seven controls interact in complex ways and I haven't nearly got my head around them!
  4. Thank you. I'll try with some other basses
  5. Thanks Phil. I'll try it again next week
  6. Yes it's just feedback, but no I'm using an ordinary electric bass.
  7. Sorry I wasn't clear - it's my usual amp I go straight into it and take a line out to the desk. I just wondered if monitors are sprinkled with a different kind of sauce to make them more suitable
  8. I play a regular gig where the sound engineer changes and sometimes we get one less capable than the others. In order to make sure I can actually hear what I play I experimented last night with using a bass combo titled back in front of me, like a monitor. I figured I could increase my volume without affecting the front of house too much. It was fine. Mostly. The only issue was if I bent forward it howled. Now here's my question. Would a 'proper' monitor work better?
  9. If you put sold in the title it'll close the thread 👍
  10. SX basses are so good. Not just good for the money, they're really well made.
  11. Now why did you have to go and show me that???
  12. I say hot tone. Maybe not logical but it just feels right
  13. I would say a transformative update. I used the scenes function last night and it's excellent. The drum machine is a useful practice tool. I've only updated it recently so not looked that deeply into it yet but already it's a win. New desktop software too. It's like a new pedal.
  14. Last night's board...
  15. No. That is someone else.
  16. Who knows? I wasn't supposed to know but the venue owner paid me before we started. So now I know the total and how much we all got. I'll be looking for another job.
  17. Monthly Bandeoke last night. Still struggling to fill the venue, not sure how many more gigs we'll get there. Playing with an awful head cold is never fun and discovering that the guitarist took home twice as much money as the rest of us was a pretty depressing finale to the night.
  18. This is precisely why the internet was invented
  19. I've been through a few and I have to agree. I really like my EBS too
  20. Yesterday afternoon I was resigned to a two gig weekend then I got a message inviting me to a last minute gig in Bath. Squashed into the tiniest corner we played to a typical Friday crowd of ever changing gangs of pub crawlers. Went down a storm and got home in good time. I took minimal kit as parking is a nightmare, so I had to be prepared to sack truck my gear through the streets. I must say that's two nights on the trot I've used the Cort, it usually gets overlooked for whatever reason. It's a simply wonderful bass. Light and beautifully balanced, rich tonal palette, fast comfortable neck.
  21. This is basically a brilliant amp with a free cab. Absolute bargain. Do not listen to the idiots who think that because it bears a resemblance to an amp with an expensive name that there's anything wrong with it. Superb, powerful, lightweight amp with a huge tonal range.
