1. Welcome to the forum!! Caption: "We're the crew to welcome you!"
2. But, you would probably get the best sound per pound from OBBM's cables. I believe they are Klotz? This is good quality cable and, at his prices, you would not do better.
Spot on! I have a Klotz/Neutrik Studiospares instrument cable as back up and a spare. Highly recommended! Caption: "We used to use Klotz in the UFO..."
3.
Nice sales patter Bassman7, or is it Mr Smart?
Bassman7 all the way! What a terrible thing to say to a chap trying to help the originator of the tread get some advice form the forum? My opinion of Zaolla is what I said, hey any more members care to chip in on their experiences with Zaolla good or bad to help? Good presentation of one's opinion on a great product shouldn't be a cause for complaint, surely?? Oops here I am as Mr Studiospares...if you have a tight budget go and buy their great value for money instrument cables made using high quality Klotz cable and genuine Neutrik hardware: www.studiospares.com Caption: "The Big Rat is even wired with Zaolla now...best signal path for..."
4.
Time to buy a new cable for my Bass to my combo amp ... any advice for one who hasn't bought before? Value for money/quality compromise?
The most transparent cables are Zaolla. If you've spent good money on a great bass and have good quality amplification then they've got to matched by the best signal cable. I got mine from SMART Distribution and they are really the best investment in cables ever, won't look at anything else now. The instrument cables are really flexible too and the hardware is of the best quality to match at either end of the cable. Caption: "We wouldn't fly without our Zaolla cables!"

Hey, SMART! Love my Apple and iPod, can't wait for the iPhone in November! Apples secret is the software, it's all about the software bringing it all together seemlessly and it works and that's what I want and not aggravating PC downtime. Hey, when do you think they'll make a bass with WiFi and OS X!!!! Great!!! Caption: Straker, "why isn't the new HP colour laser working...What!...the printer driver not available yet for our new Vista upgrade??"
6. Seriously chaps, it's all about the sound and tone, isn't it? It's not about how the rig looks on stage (helps!) or what's fashionable, it's all about how amplify that great instrument we spent hours and a good deal on money on getting specified, built (if custom) or found. I know it's got a long German name but I still have not found anything as faithful to the instrument and a great basis to add anything else in the signal chain if needed than my Glockenklang rig or 'Glock' for short. It has the most transparent sound via both amplifier and cabs I have yet to hear (other than Epifani) with a totally logical easy to use control panel with 4-band EQ for further tone-shaping when required, built to the highest quality and just simply the bees knees! It's everything you need for great clear tone and whatever sound you need. My Glock 'Soul Top' with a TAKE FIVE 4 x 10" cab just brill! I always keep coming back to this gear after trying others just to keep up with 'developments'. Just saving up for more power and that's a Glockenklang 'Heart-Rock' on the horizon I see! Caption: "Straker only a Glock will do...get one on order"
7. Hand over your Kubicki!! (He thinks...will be collectors classic some day...)

9. Hey guys, what's with that gaudy yellow? Reminds me of the other suit I sometimes have to wear (and me colleagues!) so I can be spotted in a dark place at the back!
10.
Or me! I bought a Stingray from him a few weeks back. Very quick delivery, and the bass was exactly as described. If you're after a good 'ray at a reasonable price I'd have no hesitation in buying from him.
This Stingray's good in the water, how's yours?? (just a bit of fun!)
11.
MB1. 16.
I have got lucky there twice- once parking in Sainsbury's car park as the meters were knackered and once on a meter after 5 or 6pm. Perfect for Jazz Cafe times. Up to you if you want to chance it.
Can we park in Sainsbury's too??
17. Yes, it certainly is. Robin is to help them target their marketing campaign... What's is called? Load o'...Loaded...ludstone?
18. Was it plugged into the bass, did anyone in the store assist you 'cos these really are the biz and no pro tech will be seen or taken seriously without a Peterson tuner? Caption: "You really should try one again, the future of of your music being truly in tune is at stake..."
19. Now that's what I call a Stingray with a great finish! The SimS Custom Shop can do anything!
20. Colonel Foster at a hip party: "Want to come and see my Lodestone bass?"
21. Colonel Foster one day whilst out on a moon walk (before Michael Jaskson!): " You mean to say you guys come all this way just to find out which strings we use..."
22. Caption: "Straker here, I need to book a slap bassist!"
23. Klaatu says: "Peterson Tuners will keep the universe in tune!'
24. More Shukers!! Ed Straker says: "Don't do it!! It's not worth it! You've got to wait 14 weeks!"
25. Now surely you guys must also be reps for Shuker? Ed Straker says: 'It's got LEDs, must be SimS...'
