absolutely love them have had two in the past but my personal preference is that they are great for studio work but for live work i like absolute simplicity and found the j-east a bit too much for me personally - as somebody above commented a good high output pickup in passive configuration often works wonders (went back to wizard thumper and wizard hammers all passive) i would recommend trying though they are very versatile - you can always sell them on easily on here if its not your cup of tea

Up for sale is my US Precision - bought a couple of years ago from this very basschat boutique from danweb22 - it was in immacualte condition then and still is - i took it off to my preferred local luthier 81guitarworks for a setup with a different string brand to my personal prefs (which is basically a pretty much 'standard setup') - noodled about with for a few minutes to check the setup was to my liking, put it in the case where it has remained for just over two years now unplayed by myself not gigged and not left the house previous sale and subsequent purchase by me here ... will try and get some more pics in daylight tomorrow to show the condition of the finish - i would say this is MINT but that would imply it was 'recenty' fresh out of the showroom, which it most definitely is not - from the serial number i believe it is a 2022 model please correct me if i have this wrong - have added screengrab from fender website for the serial number lookup to show the full specs - have also added a few pics of the case to show especially the corners and feet to show its lack of use - i wouldnt call it mint but its about as minty fresh as you will ever get - there are no dinks anywhere not on body or neck and only very minor surface marks on the scratch plate - absolutely zero buckle rash on the back - strung with a set of 45-105 la bella flats set up by 81guitarworks (2 years old on the bass but never played) - all case candy included as the ticket says - this is not on sale anywhere else, only here on basschat - looking for cash or bank transfer only - most definitely not looking for any swaps or trades, sorry - genuine reason for sale... have you seen the cost of a replacement timing chain on a 3 series 😳 and this on top of a new clutch and flywheel last month price is pretty firm but i will include courier cost in that at my expense if need be but would prefer any potential buyer to visit and try (ME7 postcode) - i have a trace elf rig and a hartke rig, if you want to visit to try you are welcome to bring your own specific head/pre along thanks for looking

So... as the new album is about to drop later this week i thought id throw this up there imho ... ymmv ...mcton etc etc etc the best by far of any of the 'yes tributes' out there - not quite absolute technical perfection but the feel of the old yes material is definitely on point with some superb bass and guitar work and JA still sounding great at 80 enjoy

they are excellent quality and John is an absolute star and extremely helpful with enquiries - i had a j-east in a old status matrix for a while - it was immense , sounded like jazz bass on steroids BUT it no longer sounded much like a status (even though the tone was very good for a J config) - i took it out of the status because for me it was just too much for gigging i prefer simpler tone controls and powerful passive pups to make you work harder for the tone with your fingers (just my two cents worth) and also Rob adn Dawn at Status were very helpful in providing a nice one off tone circuit they had on the shelf whci i installed and hey presto it once again sounded like a status ought to (but unfortunately not what i was looking for gigging but nice to have it behaving like a status should) if your emphasis is on studio and recording the j-east will most certainly be a positive for you but depending on your playing style and rig/live feed config you might find it "too much" in live scenarios - i certainly did and went back to totally passive with wizard pickups forgot to add... agree with all the above - especially build quality and versatility, second to none but in the end its all down to tonal preference - would also receommend the glocks (i believe) which are in the sandberg californias they are beastly and seemed a lot more tonally controllable for me in live situations

aspirational lifestyle choice hipsters to the front of the queue please ... will said garage be supplying appropriate permanent fix wall hangers because chances of the poor instrument actually getting played will be looking very slim? will there be a vernissage so aforementioned hipsters can stick a red dot on their very own personal lifestyle choice whilst sipping their craft beverage? 🤔
