2. Cheers for the speedy reply Ped. I'm just about to leave work for the day so I'll wait till I get home and reattempt to send the message. If I'm still encountering problems I'll get back in touch. In fact either way I'll let you know how I get on. Cheers again, Ian
3. Hi all, At work I like to browse the site from time to time during the day (as one does ) a: to keep up-to-date with what's going on in the world of BC (like this new look for example) b: to relieve the tedium of being stuck in an office for 8 hours and c: to check out the BC marketplace While at work I tried to send a PM to a member today on three separate occasions but failed each time. Going by what I could figure out you hover the cursor over the person’s ID, you’re then presented with a couple of options, one being ‘Send Message’, so you click on this and I assume are presented with a PM box? The first two parts are fine but when I click on the ‘Send Message’ option nothing happens. I can only assume it has something to do with the New-Look site coupled with fact we're eons behind everyone else in terms of browsers and are still using outdated IE6. Prior to the update I never had any problems while at work so can anyone confirm that IE6 is no longer supported or could the problem lie elsewhere? Cheers, Ian

5. I bought one of these off e-bay a while back and yes, it was complete 'stool' in every respect. The tracking was just woeful if you played anything but one sustained note. I ended up PX-ing it along with a Boss AW-3 (which was also rubbish) against an MXR M82. Along with Mr. Academy I'm interested in trying one of those MarkBass Synths too.
6. Depending on what head I use (one has two outputs, the other has one) I can either take one cable (top notch OBBM ones I may add!) for each cab or daisy-chain them. Never had a problem with either way.
7. I spent £1000 on my '75 RI Jazz a couple of years ago and I had Chris Larkin build me a fretless 4 in 1989 which cost me in the region of a grand. Not sure what that equates to in today's money but it'd be more than £1600. I want a '69 Jazz (my birth year) and all depending on the condition of it, I suppose I'd be willing to pay up to somewhere in the region of £3k

9. Very nice! Cant beat natural wood and the grain in the wood you've used is stunning!
10.
Blocks have NO place on P-basses!
I have to agree but it still looks pretty sweet!
11. Yes & no! I have three fretless - a custom Larkin Reacter 4B I had built in 1989 (my avatar) which doesn't get nearly as much use as it used to or ought to, a modified Squier VM fretless that gets played constantly and a cheap crappy Stagg BC300FL I bought on a whim for £60 that never gets used. Ever! As for an acoustic, I'd love one but don't have the money to spend on a decent one.
12. He's gone and put the wrong pics up on his ad. Here's the same pics on a different auction he has: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HARLEY-1450-FSXT...=item27bd260c51

14. Sounds like an epic trip you have planned there! As you're gona be crossing the States I can't urge you enough to go check out the Southern States especially Virginia, Carolinas, Tennessee, Kentucky & Georgia. First time I went over in 2008 I fell in love with the people and the place (I was given the title of 'Honorary Redneck' and a John Deere cap hence the name JohnDeereJack!) When I was over I bought a cheap acoustic guitar just for sitting in jam sessions (there are PLENTY around) and something called a GripMaster to keep my fingers limber for the almost four weeks I was without a bass. They come in different strengths and I seriously can't extoll the virtues of these devices enough. Unfortunately I'm not gona make the States this year but enjoy your trip mate, I'm totally jealous.
