CPC version of Lumberg jacks are very good 👍
  2. It’s interesting how at various times Zoom and Eventide have tried the “buy the hardware and then paid software add ons” - which in theory should work - but in practice people just want to buy a thing and have all of it.

I ordered a tayda order on Monday morning - it's due here today. That's quicker than most UK based sellers!
  4. I decided if I was going to buy a piece of synth gear that was going to gather dust I'ld pay £50 more and pick up a Microkorg 2 or similar (I've no idea if it's any good, not spent any time on synthchat finding out)
  5. I think it really helps that he comes from a different background. Same as Josh &co of JHS show - they make content as a side show of their online bass lessons company/pedal company so don't rely on clickbait to survive - like if he wanted to do a hour long video about some really dull bass related thing with no commercial side to it- say making a mute out of a bit of foam you could buy in Lidl, he could and it would appear just as genuine as if he was pitching some product he's involved in.
  6. If I bought a HX stomp, a pinstripe MISO and at least one 3leaf pedal would that count?
  7. I think the key part of that infomercial was where he was saying he was playing their own pedal back to them and they didn't realise it was their pedal... he can make gear sound good - that goes a long way. Plus - good marketing, and a really condidered feature set.
  8. vlog/infomercial... .
  9. It’s a very cool designed enclosure - but I missread the topic tiltle and PLL rather than PILL was thinking they normally have more knobs!
  10. I saw that Enfield Roger waters p bass up for sale a week or so ago
  11. filter of some kind?
  12. @krispn - they are all mostly straight!!

You could suggest that a page “cpc for pedal builders” with links to a lot of common parts we would use might be a fun idea and drive sales

Yeah though I worked out that they (audio) weren’t nesserially cheaper if you get tagged for customs on the Tayda ones

CPC have an equivalent of Lumberg mono jacks too so going to try them - fingers crossed it all fits!

Ah that makes sense. I find The most annoying bit of making pedals is ordering stuff

I've heard mixed things about some of the copies of the mini lumber jacks, for instance the Tayda ones aren't supposed to be good- finding what is good is a pain

Multicomp pro MJ-14SR - it's the multi comp version of the mini Lumberg jacks they seem to have stopped making. CPC id CN21942 Farnell 1737250 if it was a bit of a difference I would understand, CPC seem to be aimed at small volume orders more, but it's crazy difference, and not with discount as it comes down! I'ld buy from CPC but they don't have the Lumberg mono jacks I need
  19. I meant envelope out, but I have no idea about what I'm saying!

I don’t get how a component can be 67p in CPC going down to 55p for ten… and then £1.60 in Farnell going down to 73p if I order more than 500! when it’s the same company how does that make sense?
  21. Oh hello! Smaller and with master volume only one exp/cv in Jack which can be set for one of the 4 of the knobs. behringer gives you midi, expression out and more cv ports - but is the size of a small planet compared to the pastfx! It’s also a chunk cheaper. isn’t there a trick on the mf101 where you can rout the expression out into the cut off cv to make a down filter?
  22. every time ppl start talking about moogerfoogers it makes me want to start collecting pedals - they are just cool. I have the past-fx 101 clone - and am tempted by a SA Artefakt that can do most of the functionality of most of them.. maybe not them all together
  23. I’m not sure you can get a “master thread” for this kinda thing - mostly it’s playing style and bass, and then you’re going to have a combo of amp cab eq and compression - the exact setup could go from anything from “just use a SVT type sound” to whole forums of passionate people dissecting macca’s bass tone! How you get that is going to utterly dependent on the effects unit you use and what works for an individual band? Scott’s bass lessons have done some videos with Ian Martin Allison where try try and match a sound in 2 min using a hx stomp - my take out from it is playing style makes the most difference…
  24. this from a man who in another thread said that he had gigged with 5 moogerfoogers!
  25. think a HX stomp or GT1000core might simply it? split when you want and use left/right for the two signals?
