1. Congrats mate. Sorry I couldnt help out by taking that 2x10 off yer hands Glad to see you managed to cover the cost anyway man!
2. My biggest problem is not bringing a back up bass. I have never needed it but I would rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it! We just dont have room for all the gear and 2 basses in the 3 cars we travel to gigs in. I will regret it one day though. I have only broken one string in 10 years of playing but I dont play any metal. That might help to break them, jumping about and all haha!
3. Selling for a mate as the epray fees were astronomical! Cracking Guitar in mint condition. Selling so he can pay the tax man! Comes with original fitted hardshell case. £750 or very near offer. Cant tell you the year as he does not know and would prefer local pick up as he would rather not post it.
4. Just back from the post office and it will cost £20 to post. Next day delivery, the other option didnt require a signature at the other end and I was not happy with that. Oh and BUMP

6. I have a HH electronics head unit. Its the 100 series thats why I am saying 100W. It doesnt actually say 100W anywhere on it but I have gigged it through a 400W RMS Marshall cab and it held its own in pubs and small clubs. My mate has a HH guitar head which sucks so dont confuse this with the guitar ones. This can actually get some decent tones Specs: 2 outputs rated at 4 ohms 6 Band equaliser Low and High gain Inputs Compressor (Never used it much), Bass and Treble nobs. DI out Effects loop send and return jacks. Like I said this is certainly not a high end amp but does the job as far as practice and small gigs go. I will include a power cable of course and I have yet to work out a shipping price. If anyone needs a price I can take it over the postie and have it weighed and priced for you. £50(plus shipping) sounds reasonable to me . I am only selling as I was keeping this as a back up but decided to raise funds for a second Cab. Almost forgot. It has been PAT tested and I can get a reprint of the certificate for the buyer.

A family foto before my cousins wedding... Yes my wee brother is already steaming
8. I love my fretted Thunder II. Anyone who is interested will get a good bass. Well looked after too by the looks of it. Wish mines looked that clean. I would be tempted but I need other things so much more Like food for a start I have never worked out exactly what the switches all do either haha!

Strap-locks

I just fitted some Schaller locks to my westone cause the buttons are in a crappy position. Havent really had the chance to road test them as such but they feel solid enough.
10. If you were not so far away and I wasnt so damn skint this month I would be all over the 2x10. Cheapest one I have spotted yet
11. Aye I joined a bit late too. Never managed to catch any shows this year I am going through to see Ross Noble at the playhouse tonight though Should be fun

Which do you use?

I just use a tuner, OD, and a fuzz. All pedals. I fancy a decent rack but would probably still use a couple of pedals. I could lose the tuner to the rack though.
13. Cool find I just bought some schaller straplocks and thought about a new strap but didnt like the selection or price on ebay. Cheers, I liked the overwater ones but linked both sites to my house!
14.
His existing Marshall cab (I assume) is 4ohm. D.
It most certainly is my good man The whole reason I am looking for another cab is to add clarity and get the most from my Superfly. I will still be using the Marshall as well as the 2x10. The whole thing has kinda hit a snag though cause my bank is playing silly buggers at the moment. Hopefully have it sorted by the end of the month though. I have gigged with just the Marshall and it is definitely loud enough. It just seems to get muddy in the mix a bit and no amount of playing with the eq can bring it to exactly what I was after. Its the old story though that I am the only one who notices haha! I am by no means a gear snob but I am a tone snob .
15. I selected mostly finger, some pick. To be fair though it would be MOSTLY finger as we have 4 songs I use a pick on out of the 50 or so we play. I only use a pick then as it needs a little more attack and I can get everything else from my fingers. I have to admit my fingering is coming along nicely
16. I bought my Fuzz pedal from Johnny Roadhouse on ebay. Very nice customer service even for an ebay deal. It didnt bipass when I switched it off. Anyway I sent it back and got a replacement and my shipping refunded. If that is anything to go by I would pay a visit to his shop if I was anywhere near.
17. Think I might need to clarify. I currently use a Marshall 412 400w cab. The 210 will be to help cut through a little better used at the same time. The Ashdown amp I have is the reduced special offer superfly sound control have on sale at the moment. Every review I have read on them say they are much more efficient running through 4ohm cabs so I really am not looking for an 8ohm one. Besides the amp itself suggests 4ohms and I have had two offered for sale since this thread was opened so I dont think it will end up being as hard as I first thought
18. It looks like the Yammy cabs are discontinued. Definitely will keep an eye out for them though. Does anyone know of a decent online store for used gear other than Epray? I am prepared to travel but it would be nice to have a wider search net if you follow me.
19. I picked other. I have a MIM Jazz that gets an airing every now and then but my main go to bass has to be my Westone Thunder II. An absolute beast if I do say so myself. Its pretty heavy but I am a wee fatty so i have no problem haha! Just bought some straplocks from epray last night as my strap slipped off at practice last week
20. Does anyone have much experience with 4ohm cabs? I am looking for a 2x10 cab but my Ashdown head unit likes to run off 4ohms so that is what I have been looking for. Trouble is most of the 10's I have found are rated at 8ohms and I have only really found the Peavey models that go to 4. Does anyone know of other companies that have 4 ohm 10's? I will be looking for a second hand cab as I find you get better deals going used but if I am relying on finding a Peavey cab alone then I may be waiting for a while
21. I am new here but has this sold to the guy that was at reading or not? This is exactly what I was looking for when I found this site so let me know

New here

Hey all. I'm new here but been playing bass for just short of 10 years. I only joined really to get some help sourcing a second hand 2x10 cab in Scotland but Hopefully I will spend as much time here as I do at Talkbass. I had never heard of this place but while searching the net for a cheap cab I stumbled across it so here I am.
