Ok, back at home now. When I take it out of standby, there is a very, very slight hum which is normal for the amp. But still nothing...

Ancient Mariner - I didn't know that...cheers.

Don't have another cab to try I'm afraid. Would a 2x12 just stop working all of a sudden? If I blew a speaker, wouldn't one go first...not both at the same time? Wasn't incredibly loud at practice...gain on noon and master on about 9-10 oclock. Used a Big Muff too and that's what was making the vibration happen. I thought the battery had gone in the muff at first so just went bass to amp, but still nothing. I'm rather puzzled!

The 'issues' people have with valve amps i.e. maintaining them, new valves etc, is usually to do with an all-valve pre and power stage. The Terror just has a valve pre-amp so you'll be fine. Pre-amp valves last a lifetime, and you'll most likely only change them if you want to try out different types of gain. I'm not entirely sure why the Terror has a standby, but as it isn't all-valve, I would imagine it's pretty useless. That's not to say the Terror is in any way inferior. Great amps, and sounds a lot like my all-valve AD200...just about a third of the price! Enjoy!

So there I am, rocking away at practice with an AD200B and the Matamp 2x12. The head is moving around the top of the cab a few inches and I pull it back everytime it gets too close to the edge. Mid-song and it stops making any noise...not a whistle. Everything still turned on, lights on, valves glowing as they should. No flashes, no smoke, no funny smells. Changed leads, bass is passive and worked through different amps. Any thoughts? I'm thinking the vibrations maybe loosened something? Good job it was the last song of the practice! Thanks for any help you guys can offer

Hi folks, Mostly using my Ibanez Blazer for rocking out now, so this is just sat around waiting for someone to make use of it. I built this bass last summer and it has only seen gentle practice and the odd gig here and there. So let's begin... 2009 MIM Fender Jazz Body Got this off Ebay, not long after the Lake Placid Blue was re-introduced as a colour for Mexican Fenders. It comes with the pickguard, control plate, a (slightly scratched) neck plate, the knobs, strap buttons and all screws. Don't have the pots or wire, but they're easy to pick up from other places and are usually replaced for CTS ones. There's a couple of dings by the bridge side of the bass which I have tried to photograph. Nothing major and nothing gone through to the bare wood...just being honest about them. A few minor scratches in the belt buckle area too, again nothing major. Looking for £90 posted - PRETTY MUCH GONE Next up, 2009 Warmoth Tele Jazz Neck This is a cracking piece of kit. Have a search for Warmoth and how well regarded they are if you don't know of them. This is a Maple neck with Rosewood board. It has a Warmoth fitted Corian nut and is finished in Clear Gloss. Despite this, the neck isn't 'sticky' or slow...quite the opposite. This feels slightly thicker and chunkier than a 'standard' Jazz neck, but I find it very comfortable...certainly not Precision sizes. This comes with the string tree and Hipshot HB-2's. The Hipshots can be removed if you so wish and I'll sell them separately. I'd rather sell as one as the Hipshots have quite alarge baseplate and other tuners would perhaps leave holes where the Hipshots originally were. Does that make sense?! Neck is straight as an arrow and frets and board are in great shape. To buy this new from Warmoth would be $280 = £175, and that's before the shipping, taxes, and tuners are added so... Looking for £160 posted Next, Schaller 463 Chrome Bridge This was from Warmoth, absolutely brand new...never ever used. Comes with 3 screws (it isn't a direct Fender 5-hole replacement) and the allen key. I can get pics if you like, but google it, and it looks like that! Looking for SOLD And finally... Rio Grande Muy Grande Jazz Pickups Again, Warmoth bought, these too have never been used. Ever. Comes in original box with screws and mounting foam. These pickups are rounded, but obviously fit standard Jazzes. As these aren't too common over here and brand new, looking for £70 posted That's the lot, PM's and comments are welcome. Cheers for looking

Two Matamp 2x12's should do it. £350 per cab, customisable, whatever speakers you want...

thisnameistaken - could you not use a pedal power for the 24v? I'm sure you know, but PT's (Jnr's and up) can take them. Also, if not a pedal power, could a burkey flatliner provide a single power supply for you?
