Diago Micropower9

Eskimo - yeah, I think it looks a little silly like that... Here's a pic with the connector just hanging out... Gareth, shame you never got to try it.
4. I think these have been on the market for some time now, but there's hardly anything online about them. Anyone used one? We all know Diago stuff is great quality and this seems a nice little power supply for not a lot of pennies. 5. I've been looking at picking up another Johnny Shredfreak supply, but their website has been updated saying they're no longer available, but new and improved ones are on their way soon.
6. Agreed. These are great amps...killer price too. I like to crank the boost on mine and it gets aggressive and snarly, but still keeps that bassy fundamental. Good luck with the sale!
7. I'm glad there's some positive feedback about Promenade. The shop is just down the road from me and they're all great folks who know their stuff, and I always seem to get a bargain in there.
8. That looks gorgeous...never seen them in that colour before too. Good luck with the sale, seems a great price!

Not that I know of silddx. He sold a headless Steinberger/Hohner (I forget what it was) on ebay that he used when he fell out of a window and hurt his back He was definitely using the Blazer on the last Supergrass gigs, and I seem to recall it being his first bass, so doubt he'd just stick it on ebay.

Good thread! I bought an Ibanez Blazer just so I could pretend to be like him His playing, especially on the first 2 (and maybe less so the 3rd) albums, is just great. Love it.
11.
I find him bog standard to be honest. Then again so were his 'peers'. I mean, Matt Osman, Steve Mackey, Paul McGuigan, Annie Holland, Mick Quinn............ None of them spring to mind as outstanding bassists. I'd stick them all in the Adam Clayton/Michael Anthony pile.
I think Mick Quinn is a really amazing bass player. Different strokes I guess, but Supergrass and Blur always had great basslines imo. It wasn't the best performance to be fair, but I think it improved as it went on. I was saying to my ladyfriend when 'Song 2' was on, that I only really like the album version....I've never heard a live performance of it that I thought was any good.
12. iiiinnnnnteresting. If memory serves right, my 2x12 is similar to that. Matamps are built like proverbial outhouses! Great cabinet mate. I think it looks great with the V4, but you know it's screaming for a GT200!
13. Looks a great rig, by the way!
14. Hi Fred, How heavy is this thing? I've already got a Matamp 2x12, but more cabs never hurt anyone...
15. I'm still not finished, but I kind of feel sorry for the guy. Been laid off, got 3 kids and finds a bass worth about $35,000. I really hate when people on forums become lawyers/professional etc!!
16. I'm halfway through reading this, but seems a pretty amazing find! 17. Warmoth tort is one of the best looking ones...nice and dark, but not sure about it fitting a mij 75
18. Don't say things like that! Don't. Need. Another. Jazz. Bass
19. That cherry burst jazz at far east guitars is stunning. When I bought from Ishibashi a few years back I was torn between one of these and a CAR jazz, went for the CAR. Either way, Japanese Fenders are cracking...might be expensive, but I'd take a Japanese one over a USA Fender anyday (can of worms now officially opened!)
20. I'll take the TU-2...PM incoming
21. This looks like it's going to be great! I love a good build/tinkering type thread! Great work on the surf green strat too. One day I think I'll build myself a surf green Jazz, painting it myself.
22. JMJ'S been selling off loads of his collection in the past few months on ebay. He has (had?) some really amazing gear. Lucky chap.
23. I used to run a DHA EQ Drive something or other at 9V off a Johnny Shredfreak power supply. No problems at all. Didn't notice much difference in tone, I seem to recall I needed to add a little more volume at 9v, but there was always plenty on tap. Can't see it being a problem. Dave's pedals sound great imo.
24. Despite having one of these, I still look on the bay for them as they used to be very rare. They seem to turn up quite regularly now. A week to go on this one, and already at £150. 25. I love that headstock shape. Classic, but looks just ever so slightly more sharp and refined. Great work.
