1. Speaking of owning Matamps, did someone on here have a GT100 in a bass spec? Seems to ring a bell but not sure who had it.
2. Looks superb 1970. One day I'll own a GT200!
3. I'm probably well down the list, but registering my interest in the Marathon too!
4. Keep coming back to look at this one. What a beauty! Good luck
5. Haha no way! In that case, this definitely sounds like a beast!
6. Had one of these a few years back...same grill cloth and tolex too. Sounded a beast. Best of luck with the sale!
7. My G-3 fits in a Protec Contego. It's snug on the body edges, but padded enough to be well protected and no risk of damage
8. She plays bass for Emiliana Torrini which makes her instantly great!
9. It sucks waiting for things only for them to not arrive. It's not much consolation, but when I check the tracking and see it's at the local depot and charges are due, I just drive out, pay them and pick it up there and then. They're usually open til about 7 on a weekday and means I get the item quicker.
10. Never fit them, but been looking at them. You need to chisel out a couple of bits on the headstock to get them to fit - did you do this? The Gotoh Resolites are the same look, but don't need any chiseling. Was it a Fender style headstock theywere being fitted to? The Fender tuners are made by Gotoh so they should be decent enough quality.

Fearful 15/6

Looks great so far, looking forward to seeing completed pics. I really like the look of the 2x12 that they do. Was it relatively easy to wire up/paint/grille etc?
13. Agreed! Used Jack a few times in the past few years and always been super pleased with the results. I was there a couple of weeks back and met Kieran too. Great service and prices.
14. My old neck! Looks a beauty! It has the steel reinforcment rods. Pablo is great to deal with too, a real gent. Good luck mate
15. Couch straps are super, got a couple myself. Good luck with the sale!
16. Also, I'd leave the headstock blank, but I quite like blank headstocks. I know they're not for everyone though.
17. That looks hot. Great work and good to hear the necks are decent quality. Can't beat a seafoam jazz
18. Thanks. Nope it's rosewood. Nice and dark and nice figuring on the maple too.
19. Hi Andy, Sorry for the delay, only just seen this. Might be a few weeks before I attempt this. The neck, along with the body, are going to the tech on Tuesday as there's a gap and I'm getting a veneer put in there so it's all tight. Once I get it back I'll start work. I've put a few pics on to show you the current state of it. Not a fan of tinted necks, so it'll just be clear nitro going on once it's been stripped. Cheers
20. Sea Foam Green Jazz Bass? Matching Headstock?
21. Thanks Roland, appreciate it.
22. bump - anyone?
23. Hi all, I've got a jazz neck with a horrible orange David Dickinson poly gloss which I'm wanting to remove. As well as the looks, it feels pretty sticky and I much prefer satin finishes. What's the best way to do this? I'm thinking sanding with about 320 first to get to bare wood, then 1000+ to smooth? The neck has binding which has poly on-would I be ok sabding this too? Rosewood board so don't need to deal with frets etc. Cheers in advance Chris
24.
I was looking for exactly the same thing for my build last month, and nearly pulled the trigger on one of these on their eBay listing - they seem not to be listing at the moment. Looked excellent, other than non-authentically having a separate board. Worked out around £100 incl shipping, so comparable to Mighty Mite (who only do dot markers?) If you could live with rosewood these look good value: http://www.ebay.co.u...=item3ce348e458 I ended up shelling out a fair bit more for a genuine '78 Fender neck from the States in maple / pearl blocks - still worked out cheaper than a new '75 RI neck from Stratosphere (going on a AVRI '75 body)
They come and go on ebay, but they have an actual web-shop too. http://www.customworldguitarparts.com/default/gitaar-halzen/jazz-bass-maple-neck-20-frets-pearl-block-inlay-with-binding.html The shop seems slightly cheaper than ebay too
25. Of course, when I say i've never seen one, I mean in the flesh!
