1. Second hand Squire Vintage Modified jazz if you get your hands on one. Superb value.
2.
I didn't say there was anything wrong with f***ing discipline did I?
Slight overkill there? No one was criticising merely displaying there opinions Dan
3.
Aye it's good, but not as good as Expert Village! I know, it's been posted before. But skills like that can't be taught!
Am I the only person who feels ill when they see the words "Expert" village?
4.
I can see the value of the excercises, but you'd have to be quite disciplined (not to mention imaginative) not to simply fall back on familiar patterns & phrases when undertaking them.
I see where your coming from but I think thinking (poor English there) logically about your common used patterns in a theoretical sense could be so advantageous in terms of new ideas so I don't think that's really a problem. More of a challenge. And the more of them the better! Dan
5. Glad to be of help everyone. I'd never even considered this kinda thing before but its just brilliant!

7. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8XI2aHSBTnU Benny Greb on improvisation. Me and my band tried these exercise today in a jam. It's just brilliant for awareness and growth. Defiantly recommend trying this its enjoyable and challenging no matter what level you play at! Dan
8. Aguilar Tone Hammer: Preamp + Di box. I love them but I just cant get hold of a second hand one =/
9. I've never had a problem with Bjork until I got a set a 6000 word essay on her production style and musical traits... Safe to say I can no longer stand her voice! Dan
10. Personally I gave up on this approach and made them all my self. I some times literally play over loops for hours. My advice: Youtube drum grooves and go to town =) Dan

12. Well I have a boss LBM3 limiter enhancer and GEB7 Bass EQ which are not being put to good use so I thought I'd place them up here. I still have original boxes as they are only 2-3 months old from PMT Norwich. Ideally I'd like a swap for an Aguiiar Tone Hammer preamp box/DI but I'm happy to take £40 each and half the postage between us Feel Free to PM me with Q's Thanks Dan

16.
Although I can't hear the speaking in the video posted the player is commenting on the space for slapping I believe. Without being rude to you it's kinda down to poor technique or the ability to adapt. On the big al the neck pickup is pretty close so I learned to both pop with the very tip of my finger and also use my 3rd finger for a wider reach. All this bongo talk is making me GAS now.
No offence taken. Up until 6 months ago i'd never even attempted to slap before so little titbits are always helpful =) I spose being a jazz bass man im used to the eons of space between neck and pup.
17. I've played a fair few bongos and I found them really difficult to slap on. The neck pup was just too close to the neck for me which is shame cus they really are great basses...
18. As much as I love this band the backwards strung 5/6 string kills it for me! Nothing worse than a catchy tune you cant play along too!
19. Would I still be able to get it with the free trial? Dan
20. Any one got one? Need for my grade 8 please =D Thanks Dan
21. I could be wrong but I was told wattage means very little which is why some 100watt amps (e.g. Old Peavy) sound so loud. Its more about the transformer which increases how quickly the maximum wattage can be pushed out or something like that? Dont take my word for it though =L
22.
Hmm, that's not really for me. THIS on the other hand is a thing of beauty.
+10000000000000000
23. Again, I've used it fine at small venues in a 5 piece =D
