FS Ampeg B2RE + Ashdown MAG115 Deep
MuckedUpFunkies replied to MuckedUpFunkies's topic in Amps and Cabs For Sale
I had one of these, brilliant powerful amps and built like a tank. The limiter light... Shouldnt that be dropping in and out of being fully on as and when peaks are hit... So its ok? I'm not sure to be honest because it only flickers VERY rarely making me think there's a loose connection of something similar

what band are you in Dan?
The Mucked Up funkies of course ;D And I'll PM you Punky! Thanks Dan -
First up is my Ampeg B2RE brought last year at the London bass guitar festival. 450w of awesome ampeg grunt that's served me well the last years gigging. Great condition with all nobs etc intact, only issue is that the limiter light doesn't really work it just flickers occasionally. An easy fix that I never got round too! Reason for sale is that I've just updated to a Markbass F1 which I adore so I cant see this getting used much. Priced to sell at £270 included is a flight case I fashioned out of an old double glazing case! Pick up preferred (North Walsham, Norwich area) but I'm sure we can sort some postage out if it strikes your fancy! ;D The Ashdown Mag 115 deep. Exactly what it says on the tin really awesome starter cab with plenty of lowend. Picked it up for £70 and jobs a goodun If both were to sell the same time I'd happily take £300 for the whole thing and please feel free to ask for pictures ;D Thanks for reading Dan
Just love that tight tone, and of course the tight on it accurate playing. Garry
I just wish i could pull off that thumb finger picking technique!

... and when he plays with Michel Petrucciani too thinking about it!

Anthony Jackson's tone when playing with Michel Camilo is just heavenly <3 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GkNoC6nUx4&feature=related

Now in the process of recording Thrill is gone by BB king, a Portrait of tracy, The grade 8 piece, Signed sealed delivered and I want you back and il compare when theyre all done. Thanks for help
-
No lopper available. I spoke to my Music Tech teacher today and he suggests A portrait of tracy as a solo look at me piece, A grade 8 piece as a look at me in ensemble and to play live bass over my last years AS composition piece. I got a B and the bass is pretty funky but I'm not to sure =/
-
Simple grooves hey... Play that funk music simple? Or I want you back? Just found a cool MJ Medaly of ABC I want you back and The love you save that could be fun
-
I'm applying for university this year in a Music degree and have just started getting offers back. Problem is most want an audition first and I dont really have a clue what to play! At the moment I'm thinking a portrait of tracy and Fusion (Grade8piece) but I need at least 3-4 to be getting on with. I was thinking along the Tower of Power/Stevie Wonder line such as Soul with a Capital S or Sir Duke but i dont think either are really complicated enough. So any ideas? Many thanks Dan P.S My top 2 choices are Leeds College of Music and LIPA if this helps!

Depressing things your bandmates say.

"dude seriously stop twiddling we need to practice" Oh so the 5minute long random solo you just played doesn't count however me checking I'm in tune does? ... EVERY SINGLE TIME! -
I had the same problem until I found Mono straps. http://www.monocase.com/mono-gs1-betty.asp Memory foam padding etc means I literally cannot feel the weight of my jazz. Quite pricey at £40-50 but trust me they are WORTH IT! As your in Norfolk try Norfolk Guitar and Bass centre Dan
I didn't say there was anything wrong with f***ing discipline did I?
Slight overkill there? No one was criticising merely displaying there opinions Dan -
Aye it's good, but not as good as Expert Village! I know, it's been posted before. But skills like that can't be taught!
Am I the only person who feels ill when they see the words "Expert" village? -
I can see the value of the excercises, but you'd have to be quite disciplined (not to mention imaginative) not to simply fall back on familiar patterns & phrases when undertaking them.
I see where your coming from but I think thinking (poor English there) logically about your common used patterns in a theoretical sense could be so advantageous in terms of new ideas so I don't think that's really a problem. More of a challenge. And the more of them the better! Dan -

It's just brilliant for awareness and growth. Defiantly recommend trying this its enjoyable and challenging no matter what level you play at! Dan
