1.
Usually disastrous!!
I assumed so I'm just wondering if zoning out (even if not completely) might help the groove feel more fluid though? I know from experience that a group of over concentrating performers has the potential to create a rigid feel which can ruin a song IMO. I suppose the potential to make serious mistakes outweighs the feel of a piece of music?
2. Something of a new phenomenon to me, zoning out while playing. I liked a groove from a live version of Herbie Hancocks watermelon man ( the initial groove with the cool time siggy bits) so I looped it in Cubase and just let rip over it. Safe to say I completely zoned out with all focus of the groove after about 15mins and thoroughly dug in through out the piece. After listening back too it briefly (I was at it for over an hour so a thorough listen was out of the question ) I realised that it was honestly some of the best stuff I've ever played (IMO) even my weaker aspects (I.e chord work) seemed to fit nicely. I don't think I'd have the confidence to just forget everything around me when playing live even if I did believe I could reproduce some of my better playing... 0.o So my question is do you ever zone out during live performances and what are the results?
3.
Not sure if its been picked up yet but is that a giant mouse playing drums Still haven't managed to watch vid yet but will tonight Dave
HOW DID I NOT NOTICE THAT BRILLIANT!!!!
4. Just brought an SR1000 of him. Quick to reply, great price, uber fast delivery and a nice chap. Absolutely superb to deal with.
5. What bass are you looking to put these in? Have you looked at Bartolinis or Nordys?
6. If I can make it add my SR1000 EFM to the list too boss ;D
7.
Would just like to say that I've had a couple of dealings with Thomann and both have ended up in tears! I wouldn't buy from them even if they were offering 'buy one get one free'
I have never ever seen or heard anyone ever complain about thomman. Everything I've ordered has been delivered really quickly at a great price. I saw one guy on here buy an amp, the money didnt clear because of an account issue and they still posted too him because of the fact he had past dealings. Thats superb customer service IMHO
8.
They keep their value and will always be in demand. They also sound so damn good and sit in the mix so well.
Do they really keep their value now? More and more american fenders seem to be turning up on the for sale threads going for 600-800. Seems quite a drop for the £1400 price tag. I went looking for a Fender as my main gigging bass a few years back and played a Squire VM jazz, Squire jazz, Mex standard, American deluxe and a 75RI jazz. I walked out with the mex! Found the playability was noticeably better with no real difference in the construction quality :S Such a shame that such a great company is loosing its touch.

12. At the Potters Leisure resort they have a fantastic band which basically plays all of the music for all the stage productions whether it be musicals, popular music or 50's and 60's stuff. Exceptionally enjoyable to watch and I'm sure it is too play as well. Never had the chance to meet the bass player though who is always exceptional :3 wonder if he's on here?
13. I've played the prototype of this model and have GAS'ed for one ever since. If this is even half as good as that was someone is defiantly getting a treat
14. Not to throw a spanner in the works but I've never not wanted to own any bass like... ever I'd never discount a bass just because of the way it looks, I owned a BC Rich warlock 5 a few years back (You know what its like when you join your first metal band before you find jazz!!) and It looks disgusting but if had a warmer, smoother feel/tone than any fender I've played in the same price range until I sup'ed up my jazz. Same with PBasses. Every single one looks a cheap knock off to me because of the fact that every company like ever has produced their version but at the same time I'm still looking to buy one now because they sound the Mutts Nutts :3 Sound > Looks (Apart from a ricky which is awful in both departments ) Dan
15. Who ever get's this at that price is in for a treat. Honestly the best amp I've ever used and it weighs next to nothing
16.
These are great amps, loved mine. Only sold it due to upgrade to SVT... Very loud!
Yup, great ampeg tone in a solid package! Just seems a shame to have mine lying around unused Pm Replied And a ManFlu bump

18. Brought this at last years LBGF but I recently upgraded to Markbass so now its just taking up space! The condition is pretty good other than a slight scratch on the head and a flickering Clip light (Easy fix I never got round too) but otherwise in perfect working order. Shall we say £230 ono. Included is the case seen next to the amp in the picture. Not perfect but it does the job The cab is also in great condition with very few scuffs (On the bottom in the picture). Brought on here from Matt_Arlita. Selling due to upgrading to Markbass gear. Would like what I paid which was £50 Or if you want both il do £260 for the lot! Please message for pictures, sound clips or to arrange a visit. Collection from North Walsham (Norwich) is preferred. Many thanks Dan
