6.
Wow thanks for the info ! Let's meet up for a pint and discuss these multiple owners and issues ! Since i bought this bass approximately ten years ago it has certainly not had any other owners , refinished or even played by anyone else . It's only been gigged about 6 times in the last ten years four of which being weddings hence its in excellent condition , regularly serviced by Overwater with the electronics upgraded a few year back .
No problem - nice to see the bass again, and in the same (excellent) condition as it was when it came back from Germany. Not sure of the actual owners - seems it had a few (at least 4) prior to you, but it's obviously been well looked after which is a greater consideration than the no. of owners. I think it's dated 5/1/2004 (?) which happened to be the birth date (day/month; not year!!) of the local (TS) player who had it after me. Re. 'issues' (?) - none that I was aware of, other than the refinish required due to the cracked lacquer. If I can find them I'll add some photos from 2005 / 2006 which show before&after. Great bass, and Koa is really hard to source now, apparently. BoLWTS.
 7. Pretty sure this was the Overwater Prog/El-5 that suffered severe lacquer cracking when quite new. I had it c.2005-6 (but wasn't the first owner) and had it professionally refinished during that time. Sold locally. I think it's had quite a few owners since then. If it's not been refin'd since, then it'll still have the satin (Marleaux) (re)finish from c.2006.

 17. Thanks/agree Kriss, Joey & SIC. Seems odd to have already packed a bass (?) particularly - Kriss P being correct - if it's been packed/ready-to-go for c. 2 years ?!!.

 22. http://www.ebay.de/i...vsAAOSw~gRVjBZG anybody had any interraction with this 'gemwolfprivat' (based in Germany) ? All I asked was if he might be interested in trade/s and could he please add some more photos (only 2 on the listing, both not so good, none of the back of the bass) Received the following tirade in response (?!!) :- " . I have several Basses from Jens ... so I am not interested in Trade. Look, I am too long into Ebay trade ( over 15 Years) and never somebody who asked odd questions to see a Bass from behind bought something from me ... or made it worthwhile to make the effort to unpack the bass ... make fotos etc :-) ( its about sound, sound , sound ... or am I wrong :-) Really interested customer pick up the phone, speak to me in person and ask me questions that really matter e.g. about soudspecifications or Sustain ... or Mwah - Effekt ... or ease of play ... So what do you like to know about the backside of this bass ... it is new , so not 1 Trace of wear will be visible ... My best regards Wolf
 23.
I feel silly asking this but where on the back are the switches?
probably mini/dip switches within the rear (black) cover; seem to be a lot of additional holes (in the photo) other than those for the screws.
 24.
The bass ... has the following issues: 1. The active passive switch is not working at the moment - the bass only works in the passive mode. (I have forgotten the preamp brand - I think it is Noll but I will check and update here soon) 2. The truss rod cap is missing and the truss rod is not adjustable using an usual key (the neck is still straight and without any buzz at any point). Photos: https://goo.gl/photo...qEDseZNuAhNLMP8
?.. have you spoken with B/Lines re. the issues? Could you include a photo of the electronics and a close-up of the truss rod (end): is it a standard type which has been worn/stripped (?) ... or an unusual/older type (the likes of Pedulla & Gibson) ?
 25.
Yep that was mine. The price has gone up a few quid! Wonder if they are the same strings I had on it? Funny thing - when I was selling it I took it along to Mark at Bass Direct. I was amazed when he said "never heard of them." Haven't held it against him though!
I think they are the same strings (!) .. apparently, if you don't play the bass then they'll be fine (?!!). This was his reply to my specific (strings) Q:- "....yes, bought it but never played it, so i am selling it! are you interested in buying a bass or why are you contacting me again?...." previous contact was about one (of 2) of his Celinders listed (also listed a Modulus VJ4 as 'NEW'), as I didn't think any NEW basses were currently available from Cristian C.:- "... i am selling some of my private basses. i bought some basses new from shops but didn't play them, they stayed in their cases a few years, that's why they are sold as "NEW" - because they are new ...." Certainly looks a goood 'investment' if it does sell at the asking price; but he's listed the 4 basses several times already. Not totally surprised re BassDir ... have found most shops' bass 'specialists' have a pretty limited knowledge of less well known instruments
