  1. bass currently plays active but the whole centre-rod pulls out rather than switching). Neck is Fender J type - fits well. Vol + Pan + B/T stacked. 8.8lbs. 34" scale; 1.5" nut; 10/19mm spacing/s (nut/bridge). There's a chunk out of the body (below knobs/edge) which has been re-coloured *& coated. New 40-100 - Nickels. Action OK but hard to get ultra-low, 'F' logo
  2. ‘THUNDERBUCKER 66s’ ( 5 string version* ) http://thunderbuckerranch.com * Just checked and current price is c £470 (In the USA) based on current exchange for the 2x pickups, 2x covers, 2x surrounds, 2x spacers + postage; if hit with VAT it would raise to £564 plus possibly some 'duty' .. but no idea what that might be. Due to the relatively narrow dimensions, these would also work in a 4 string bass: 924m (3.65") x 405mm (1.6"). Comes with everything required (pickups + covers + spacers + rings + all screws) and includes P &P. The pickups are very new/shiny but do have some minor marks upon very close inspection (might well polish out with the correct cream/buffing tool)
  3. OK/thanks. I'll check those myself (excellent idea) and see if anything matches. Might also be worth checking current model range offered.............
  4. Thanks Andy - could be, although shape looks slightly different (notably the long, thin section by the final-frets/E-side (?). There's no 'U' truss-rod cut also. Is the bass in the photo yours? if. so, the distance between the top edge of the neck-pickup-cut & neck-cut would be useful. The one I have is c. 66mm; whereas the std. p/guard (t/shell ) is c. 94mm.
  5. Just been handed this BLACK F' p/guard but no idea what it's off / from / for? ... any ideas / suggestions. It's patently wrong for any std. MIA, MiM, MIJ jazz, but wondered if it might have been created for a specific (modern / MIC / 24F? ) J-type instument. ?? It's also incorrectly routed/cut for the neck pickup (sligtly too 'tight' at the edges) but that's easily remedied :-
  6. following this trend (hope not a problem for the OP), here's some scanned copies (prints) of friends' fretted 5 & 6 back in Singapore. Both are IEP/carved tops:-
  7. Mike purchased a Tech 21 Sansamp Deluxe VT pedal, to be sent to Tallinn Estonia (!). Great communication throughout & prompt, personal payment. Had some worries re. destination (first time sending something to Estonia) / using PO-RM (only sensibe option price-wise) ... but arrived OK, safely and on-time. Highly recommended to all BC'ers.

  9. OK ... I can also see them now (on laptop). Nice instrument!
  10. ... same for me: the other olders have photos and indicate in the menu how many; the Sei folder is empty..................
  11. ... can only find old prints of the 'complete' instrument (scanned) :-
  12. Exceptional instruments!.. lovely to see one here, and a great shame that the Co. didn't continue long after Greg died so prematurely. I had an XT-33 / 5 IEP years back, bought directly from Greg. He once left a message for me (answering-machine, with a mini-tape!) which I had to take to work and have a USA colleague interpret - Greg's S,.Carolina twang was so strong (!). Adding some photos :-
  13. Tech 21 VT Bass Deluxe (SansAmp Character Series) NEW. incl P&P:- https://www.bax-shop.co.uk/bass-equalizer/tech-21-vt-bass-deluxe-sansamp-character-series Gift, greatly appreciated, but not 'my type-of thing' at all...... New unit, box, all original instructions etc. Price includes Courier/packaging.... and is now REDUCED to £180 (incl.) !!!
  14. ?... not sure what that means, but have just replied to your PM. I PM'd bebebass yesterday. As it was a trade being offered - from the USA - I wanted to be sure re. USPS cf. UK/Courier shipping (time differences) and the potential (relatively recent) issues re. certain woods being banned from entry into the USA. I've seen a few BC / ebay listings stating that USA purchases are no longer possible due to 'CITES' (?).......................
  15. Fretless (only) remains available.
  16. Fretted bass sold; Fretless pending........
  17. Thanks Rik - hadn't thought of this aspect as a sales-pitch! . there seem to be lots of 'ok' Strat copies about but, in terms of price/value/quaity, this seems a decent option.

  19. ?... both links work fine for me (site + photos)
  20. Beautiful Kinal MK-5B 5 string, hand built by Canadian luthier Mike Kinal (kinal.com) to the same specs as one receiving an excellent review in Bass Player magazine March/2000 and * as (now) featured / recommended in the current (Jan2018) Bass Guitar Magazine (p.008/see photo) ** ON HOLD
  21. 'Riks' Stratocaster - a decent Fender copy. Black body with white pickguard / rosewood f/board on a nicely figured maple neck. Good condition. Free Courier and a simple gig-bag included. New strings - plays nicely and has a good / low set-up (action). If collected, can include a small 'Riks' amp. I've bought 2 trem arms for this but both are too big. Buyer would need to source a smaller one (probably 4-5mm rather than 5-6mm)
  22. Thanks for the post/assistance. The bass in clip one looks more like a Mayones (Caledonius) bass (?) :- http://mayones.com/basses/caledonius Clip 2 (nice playing!) - could well be a Bossa (hard to see) - but most likely original in terms of p/ups-EQ. There's continued interest in the bass, but if unsold by the time I might find some replacements (dimension/s issue) then I'll probably just choose to sell the TB66's. Thanks for the +comment(s) above (silverfoxnik) - they are great p/ups; but so expensive (@ c. £500) ... don't think there's a UK/EU dealer currently?
