1. Wasn't this originally the Oteil Burbridge Signature model (?) .... although possibly not with the J.East EQ.
2. Status HotWires Bass 40-100 strings (used). original packaging. Prem Qual bass strings, single ball, round core.Take off a Status bass when new, so little used (but cut to size) Lengths: 100/E - 107cm; 80/A - 114 cm; 60/D - 112 cm; 40/G - 108cm (so you'll need to measure - best suited 2+2 headstock). Will add photo of bass if I can find one. I think they're c.. £18-20 on Status' site.
3. RotoSound RB45 Bass 45-105 strings (new set). Custom gauge nickel on steel roundwound. Unused new package. includes P&P.
4. Ernie Ball Hybrid Slinky Bass 45-105 (new set). Custom gauge Rw. Unused but had to tape top of package which had split. price includes postage.
5. .... leading to it being 'pulled' .. with an apology :- "Thank you for making me aware of the error. I am not an expert on bass guitars and have only ever played for fun. I can assure you that I genuinely had no idea it was a Hohner, and have now removed the listing following your advice............"
6. I got a reply (earlier) :- " Hi, No, I did not know that it is not a Steinberger. What make you think it's a copy?...." so have now sent him an edited / anon. copy of these posts
7. Tried unsuccesfully to quote/reply above ... didn't work ! Thanks for the +++ comments; Not using 4's much now. If I had the time I'd refin' it - it's a really nice instrument (potentially). Plays great; I'd always 'known' Andy Schack by name/ reputation (instruments and EQ systems), but saw something from NAMM recently with a reference to a Nico Schack (?); was that the recent London BG show Rich? Agree - the tone/s & playability are exceptional; just the aesthetics that aren't great on this one.
8. Schack (Andy or Nico?) Unique 4 Custom LTD in dark blue (trans). Good overall condition and excellent playability tone-s. Exceptional build quality and with the amazing Schack no-bolt/s neck & BC3P circuit. But realistically the polyester/blue body has a lot of surface marks & buckle rash to both front and back. There's also a paint/surface crack by the output jack/pan and some string-wear to the tops of the BassTec (Bartolini) J pickups. This does not affect the bass 'as an instrument' at all - plays and sounds great, but it would be(come) exceptional with a body refin' or maybe taken back to the natural maple (natural bass photos attached to illustrate, although a different wood). Otherwise, an exceptional players bass! Comes with a decent, generic hard case. Free Courier. Features: - Full solid body (2pc) Flamed Maple - Maple - Bubinga - Neck - Ebony Fretboard - 24 Fret and zero fret - 34" Scale - 18.5mm (+- 0.5mm) Spacing - ETS / Schack Bridge - Active Schack (GK) 3 Band Preamp - 2 Basstec (Bartolini) Single Coil PU's - Schaller Security Locks - Gotoh Hardware/Tuner - Weight: 8.5 lbs. Nut width is 1.5" . BC3P Schack 18V on board EQ system. The signal is not coloured in any way, due to the linear response of the circuit. Offers the player a great deal of versatility. Circuit is prewired and easily configurable. -Master Volume -Balance Control (buffered) -Bass (100-300Hz via dip switches) ±15dB -Middle (500-1500Hz via dip switches) ±15dB -Treble (2000-8000Hz via dip switches) ±18dB -Adjustable pickup input gain. *There's a new Schack (Unique 5) review in this months Bass Guitar magazine (pp. 52-54. same neck fitting. £3450!).

12.
Via the pu cavity David
Thanks Aidan. Additional Q: Andy Schack / Nico Schack ??... I always knew of Andy and had assumed the basses (in addition to the circuits) were built by him. But there seems now to be a NICO Schack connected with the same instruments ??
13. Had this Andy Schack bass for a while and thinking of doing some refin' work (bass is great, but body/finish is messy and the dk-blue covers the one-piece flamed maple). BUT .. how do you remove the bolt-less neck ?!!!
14. Great looper and also a highly underrated delay/echo pedal. In excellent (new) condition in the original box with manual and power supply. There are 2 velcro strips fitted to the bottom (from p/board) - easily removed, if preferred. See photos. Price includes Courier.
15. Where are you based? Looked through your other threads etc. and can't see any reference.
16. Nice photo of St. Andrews Church, central Singapore (with The Westin Stamford Hotel behind, plus Suntec City, Japanese War memorial and SRC - Singapore Recreation Club) ! I once got the International School minibus locked inside the church grounds as I got back there too late (free parking at that time - hard to find in the city) so had to get up really early and take the MRT into the city to rescue it (and myself).
17. Exceptional example of (a) great instrument(s). I'm currently enjoying an ACG Rc-FL5 and have owned a Rc4 in the past. This is probably the nicest Rc4 I've seen - shame (for me) its not a 5 :-

Update/warning: I finally decide to return this bass as there was just too much to sort (expensive) and the seller wasn't willing to admit or help. It could well appear again, so here are some photos of what it looks like now (or when I originally received it). The Schaller bridge is knackered (requires at least 2 new saddles plus others anchor bolts/washers). The electronics work OK but are not original plus (neither are the pickups) one knob doesn't work (in addition to the extra 'hole'). Neck seems OK but needs tidying around headstock & truss rod. Body needs refinish and is slightly warped also :-
