It will sell well at that price. The world has gone mad. I suspect that the recent higher prices on other kit like Tech 21 has been partly influenced by Darkglass' success at high price points.

Another vote for a Sandberg SUper Light. Amazing things - mine is about 6.5 lb and sounds excellent. Also can consider a waist strap / belt if the shoulder is too painful https://slingerstraps.com/products/hip-strap-guitar-strap One of them with a super light bass would seem to be a good solution.

Best Wireless ‘Bug’ Devices for Home Use
fretmeister replied to Deedee's topic in Accessories and Misc
I have a G70 and g75. Excellent units. I didn't plan on having both but I had a G70 and wanted a 2nd transmitter. Andertons were doing a cheap deal on the 75 that was the same price as just a transmitter on it's own! Bug style is still easier for the house though. -
What's the best way of rehearsing remotely / online?

I have a Helix rack so I've got a mic input and phantom power built in. It's very good for vocals too. The Floor and the Rack is an 8 in / 8 out interface so as it happens I replaced a Focusrite 2i4 with the rack. -

Yes. Plug it in. See what happens. Might have to get drivers from the GK website depending on what it needs. -

The Focusrite stuff is very good for the money. The drivers are stable and the preamps are good quality. Definitely a good choice for a first interface. But, if anyone has a Helix related unit, then that can be used as an interface as well so you might not need a separate one. -
Black or clear. White is too bright on that bass. Tort is only for deviants and should never be encouraged.
-
Agreed. I don't have one anymore (alas) and I use my B3K for a touch of grit rather than filth. But if I needed a proper filth pedal again it would be the AO.

I have played that a lot. I enjoy it. Far more than that dire Mariah Carey tune!

I’d go for the amp. The clean sounds are good, the built in drive etc mean less faff with pedals and power supplies.

Advice needed- recording with a MacBook

I have the NT1-A and it’s very good for just about everything. I’m using my Helix as the interface, into Reaper, and Toontrack EZDrummer 2 for drums. There are some Black Friday deal on EZD at the moment. It’s very easy to use and sounds very good. -
Labels on the controls means greater expense as any non-English speaking place it is sold will require bespoke printing. Symbols are a great idea. Manuals in different languages can be on the website at a much reduced cost.

I can't see it being allowed in T2 and T3. Doesn't make sense with the rest of the restrictions. And TBH it is looking more promising that we might get a working vaccine in the next 6 months. I'd be waiting. I just hope the first round of people who get it do it properly. Get the dose, keep isolating / distancing for the 2-3 week period for antibodies to develop, 2nd shot etc. Actually follow the instructions. Then maybe - just maybe we might have a good summer next year.
-
I get what you are saying. We all need to buy more pedals. I remember the day when I had about 200 of them that I had collected over 35 years of playing. I miss them.

As a fan of old DOD pedals where the control names had nothing to do with their function at all, I think the graphics are easy. And let's face it - by the time we're ready to gig with a new toy we don't read the knob descriptions anymore. We already know them.
-
Quite. It's been quite clear how difficult NeuralDSP / Darkglass have found it to get their new Quad Cortex to market this year. Should have been out already. I hate to think how long and how expensive the R&D is for a next gen modelling unit without the pandemic getting in the way. Could easily sink a company. I don't use fuzz really so I'm not in the market for the pedal but I do hope it's a success.

I think you're reading too much into it.
-
I don't see an insult there. It's only musicians who will be buying it.
