  1. Hi Rolf, Happy to ship anywhere. Fretboard I believe is Cocobolo. Sound examples here: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/9q9ayu9xgdpuezs/AAAk97UgBXrFTUWHMK32ArH_a?dl=0 I’ll send you a PM to discuss shipping further...
  2. J purchased my TRB-P. A perfect Basschat transaction - fast comms and fast payment. Top chap.
  3. Wow - thanks for the info and the links. I’ll amend the advert 😊👍
  4. I recently acquired this fine bass on this forum. I've had a recent influx of 5 stringers and unfortunately they can't (or probably shouldn't) all stay. The workmanship and quality of this bass is phenomenal. It's also astoundingly lightweight (3.9KG). I may decide to hang on to this if my TRB-5P (also advertised here) sells. This bass is in mint condition - looks unplayed. The frets look new. It's setup well and a super low action can be obtained without any buzz. The specs are documented in previous threads (see below). There is a discrepancy in the listed pickups between previous sales threads however, as indicated by previous owner - these are highly likely to be ‘big splits’. Key Specs: 34" scale 17-19mm spacing at bridge 45mm at nut 3.9kg Buckeye burl top / Alder body / 5pc maple neck Shuker Hiscox case included. Preamp - vol (push / pull for active-passive), p'up pan, treble, stacked mid & mid freq, bass. Description from Shuker website: The Singlecut is ergonomically designed with a semi-curve top and heavy rear carving to make a very comfortable bass with no restrictions on playability. The upper bout continues to around the 12th fret and is carved at the rear to maintain a slim neck profile. The added stability this adds to the neck means the lower bout can be carved in deeper to allow access to up to 26 frets and couple to the laminated and carbon fibre reinforced neck achieves a noticeable increase in sustain and harmonic content. 5. What about items that have been dispatched by private sellers already (in 2020) that are unlikely to cross the border until the new year?
  6. I’d agree with songs that he likes / recognises. I took acoustic guitar lessons at school when I was 10/11 and I remember having to learn things like Greensleeves. I wasn’t particularly enthused by it and ended up losing interest. It wasn’t until a few years later I realised I could learn songs that I wanted to and I was hooked.
  7. Someone asked about the preamp - not installed during my stewardship but I believe it’s a Uni-pre model. If anyone knows what the numbers mean then please share 👍.
  8. Feel free to try me via PM but I’m really after a sale on this.
  9. Niall purchased my gorgeous Fodera. An absolute pleasure to deal with and super smooth transaction. Cheers Niall.
  10. Just weighed it - 4.2 kg 👍
  11. Lovely example of a Yamaha LTD 2 in Sea Foam Green. All original condition. The model with all the bells and whistles (Stereo outputs, D tuner, scalloped upper frets, 44mm Tele-style bass neck) It's in good condition though does have some light marks, the worst of which is photo'd. Not much to say about these that's not documented extensively elsewhere. Pretty much a P bass with some extra bottom when you combine the EBO style woofer. The Dimarzio Model P provides quite an aggressive high output P sound. A great bass for rock music and not just for those Mr. Sheehan fans. Includes original case though this is quite well worn, but functionally fine. Price includes UK postage.
  12. Lee bought a Badass bridge from me. All-round perfect transaction. Cheers!
  13. Some further images from the previous sale which show the burl a bit better.
  14. Gorgeous - my favourite era of Thumb bass 😍
  15. Beautiful bass! 😍
  16. Seymour Duncan dual coils 👍
  17. I'll suggest this to my wife and let you know the outcome
  18. It's with a heavy heart that I advertise this bass. I acquired this earlier in the year from another member on this forum. It's everything I had hoped it would be, however, with another baby on the way and the need for a car with a bigger boot, I can't currently justify having an instrument of this value in my collection. It plays fantastically with a low action - bell-like clarity across the scale of the instrument and sustain for days. Fantastic balance also, not a hint of neck dive. The condition is good, there are signs of wear but nothing significant. It comes with the original Fodera case and toolkit. Certificates of Authenticity were not issued during this era however if you wish to email the serial number to Fodera, it matches up with the records they have on their database. The specs: Fodera Imperial Elite 5 string made in 2001 34" scale Buckeye Burl top, Mahogany body, Maple tone block, 3 piece maple through neck, ebony board, ebony ramp, ebony truss rod cover. Pope preamp - a couple of months ago this was sent to Mike Pope for some refurbishment - volume and tone pot replaced along with new battery terminals. The switches are for active / passive, single / dual coil and a kill-switch. Weight - 4.75kg I am happy to ship this anywhere but it would need to be insured - I have plenty of sturdy packaging. Collection from Cardiff would be ideal. I have lots of feedback here on Basschat: https://www.basschat.co.uk/topic/192340-feedback-for-woolf/?tab=comments#comment-4279789 Any questions - please don't hesitate to get in touch. I would prefer a sale on this one but would consider part-trades with cash in my direction.
  19. Shame it’s collection only - otherwise I would be tempted!
  20. Yes - no problem at all - if you PM me your address I can work out a delivery estimate.
  21. I have these two Badass bridges for sale. One is chrome and one is gold effect but fading in places to show the chrome. The gold one is missing a single height intonation screw - easy enough to replace I should think. UPDATE - thanks to the kindness of the fellow bass-chatter below, the grub screw is now replaced and the bridge is back to full functionality. Chrome - SOLD Gold - £65 posted
  22. Hi there, I’m not really sure how to answer this! This is my only reference point of an electric guitar - I’ve never owned another, so not really sure how it would compare to others. Neck feels nice to me! It’s straight! I think the frets are standard size for this guitar. Sorry I cant be more helpful.
  23. The serial number is H31035 which I believe dates this to 1991. The weight is 4.65 kg.
