  1. It was fairly straightforward, the instructions are great. The only thing I hadn’t done before was work with the dupont connectors, I had to buy a little kit off Amazon so I could fit connectors to some of the existing wiring - it was all easy enough. Good luck!
  2. I popped an LHZ in my ‘99/‘00 CRFM and it sounds fabulous. To my ears it behaves identical to my NS2 with HAZ.
  3. I have a few bits that I’m happy to include (all in photo below), looks like a volume and bass tone pot and some sort of terminal. No battery clip though I’m afraid.
  4. This is my Yamaha BB414. I’ve modified it as a poor-mans BB3000 tribute! Gotoh tuning machines and a higher mass Yamaha bridge. I sprayed the other hardware gold as you can see. It has a lovely dark rosewood board. Unfortunately I don’t have the original knobs. It also has a few different screws attaching the tuning machines as some of the originals were stripped. The neck is in unmarked condition but the body has buckle rash and numerous signs or wear and tear. Weight - 4.1kg Sounds and plays great! Price includes UK postage and a cheapy gig-bag.
  5. An Olympic white jazz bass body from a Mexican Fender 60’s reissue. The Olympic white has yellowed as can be seen by the slightly lighter colour where the bridge and pickguard has been. It has numerous scuff marks but no significant dings. The finish has cracked by the neck pocket in two places. I understand this body will be made of alder. It weighs 2.4kg. I was keeping this for a project but I don’t see that happening now. Reduced to £150 Price includes UK shipping.
  6. A set of Schaller M4 gold (4 in line) tuning machines in excellent condition. These are the 14mm bore. Price includes uk shipping.
  7. I purchased these to try in my Spector bass but decided to stick with the originals. Price includes UK delivery.
  8. This is a neck from a Mexican Fender Jazz 60’s reissue. It has the reverse tuning machines, string tree and neck plate + screws. Unfortunately, despite a truss rod that is tightening and loosening, I can’t get the action low enough for my taste. When the truss rod is fully tightened, I would describe that the action is medium to high. This may be an easy fix for someone who can perhaps straighten the neck out a bit? It’s in good condition except for a small scratch / ding that I’ve tried to photograph. It has a lovely dark rosewood board. Price includes UK delivery.
  9. Super rare and discontinued Cog TK421 X This is well used and has signs of wear but functions perfectly. Price includes UK delivery. Please see my extensive feedback on this forum for assurance. Full description and spec copied from Cog website: For those of you who like a nice, warm, clean bass tone... please go away, you are on the wrong page. This is all about high gain and aggressive bass tones. Based around its baby brother, the TK-421, the TK-421-X goes a few steps further to create a bass distortion that sacrifices the dynamics of the Knightfall family in exchange for huge amounts of biting, barking, snarling, ratty nastiness. Dirt, LPF (LPF-2) and Level are all carried over from the TK-421, as is the internal Range switch for the LPF control (settings for "traditional", stock Cog, and deep Cog). Diode selection is moved to an internal switch for a broader choice, with symmetrical LED clipping as standard. Other options included are assymetrical LED, and both symmetrical and assymetrical Silicon clipping. It is also possible to select no diodes for another flavour, making five in total. Custom diode selection is possible too, just get in touch! Clean blending is included for those who desire it, with the addition of an adjustable low pass filter (LPF-1) on the clean signal to allow the user to choose from a full-range clean blend, all the way through to a heavily-filtered clean sound adding pure low-end and nothing else. This means you can retain the upper-mid bite and leave it unadulterated by clean tones, but still add in clean low end should you feel the need. True bypass switching is handled by relay. All jacks are north-mounted to provide a footprint only slightly wider than a standard TK-421 once the jacks are inserted. * Dirt, Diode Selection, LPF-2 and Range interact to provide a broad range of distortion tones * Adjustable Low Pass Filter (LPF-1) on the clean blend lets you find your own sweet spots to mix with the dirt * 2.1mm Boss-style 9v DC input (power supply not included) * North-mounted jacks to reduce pedalboard footprint * Relay True Bypass * Die-cast Aluminium box Now £250 inc UK postage

  11. HX stomp in pretty much mint condition with all boxing and case-candy. Only minimal home use. Latest firmware installed. Price includes UK delivery. My feedback here:
  12. What a beauty this bass is 😍. If I had an infinite Spector budget, I’d be in the car on my way round! GLWTS
  13. How can you tell that’s not his original Spector? Also, can someone point me in the direction of a video clip where Doug plays a more typical lower-register bass groove? Every clip I’ve seen seems to be this wild-effects solo stuff…
  14. Wowzers - 😍😍😍 what a stunner!
  15. Can someone please buy this immediately. Used to own of these, fantastic quality for the price. Sorely tempting!
  16. This is also interesting: https://chucklevins.com/collections/guitars/products/spector-ian-allison-ns-2-signature-electric-bass-guitar-sepia-burst-2-1747?srsltid=AfmBOopW7v0zAu9YY8wD9sfl3gZtxes4xbDuP5ur_De6qzT3iSlZByYM I quite like the Antigua vibe!
  17. I fitted an LHZ in my CRFM euro about 4 months ago, it replaced an EMG BTS and I prefer the LHZ though the BTS was fine. I happened to get my first US NS-2 with a HAZ a few weeks ago and the character of the saturation seems identical to the LHZ, though the NS-2 / HAZ seems to have a higher output volume.
  18. Sold Martin a set of TI flats. No hassle, fast payment, good communication. Cheers Martin 😊
  19. Oh dear - these require refinishing IMO
  20. I had the exact same thought 😂 I’ve had a few Euros and whilst they all sounded great, my keeper is a ‘99/‘00 CRFM that has a slimmer profile.
  21. I love the look of that red CST with the ebony board 😍
  22. @EddieG - Thanks for sharing your experience. I’d noticed some of the Letts offerings on Reverb and they had piqued a little intrigue so I’m glad to have been steered clear. I empathise with your situation, I think most of us have experienced a fair share of loss, be it financial, relational etc. It’s not a nice feeling and we deal with it in different ways. Seems like you lost a positive experience of being built a custom instrument, where you should have been indulged and looked after as a valued customer. I hope you get some closure soon.
  23. Thanks. Do you have any pics of the two you have? I’m curious to see others…
