1. you have PM since 2 days ago. please Check em if you want a sale :-D
2. hmmmmm hard to say with so few info. I've had a LOT of Squire JV and have never had any with SQ-JB on neck pocket... it should have a "D" ..... keep in mind though that Fender Japan is just like Fender USA , there's a LOT of things that "don't make sense" but still obviously exist..... I've had A serial Fender (Japan) dated 1985 on neck heel but that was pre mid 83 (made in Japan on headstock and not at back of neck) and pickups that had 82 Usa codes (only available on high end Fender JV) + japanese electronics ........ so it if sounds good, i wouldn't worry too much ....
3. damn... Rainer... ha ! !! best seller out there
4. I do not know Adrian's Policy on that but I seriously doubt he is gonna be happy paying for work of somebody he doesn't know in the UK. On the other hand i am completely sure if the bass has a problem he would be happy to sort it out. I would seriously advise to call him. I know some other manufacturers completely VOID their warranty if somebody does work on their instrument with being pre-aproved ... proceed with caution ... and I completely agree : send it back and get in touch ...
5. Many of his stuff have been send to me with a crazy low action so I would guess that's what he does "standard".. Just raise it ... No issue there. I'm sure you know what you like .... and Adrian doesn't ...simple .. we are all different
6. I would tend to agree... Even at 1800 euros I think an Elwood L 5 is I think still amazing... Absolutely kills a Fender Dlx 5 USA. In my opinion ...
7. Hi, frets sticking out of bass have happened to me on a lot of basses I have had over the years. Brands I shall not name as its not the point and a lot of them were way more expensive things than Adrian's stuff. Its usually a 10 minutes job for any qualitfied tech. Surprising though as i really LOVE fretjobs on the ones I have here, just as good as any other brand out there , usually costing at least twice those.
8. of course ... for 12 people to build 500+ per year you cannot avoid batch building... cheers
9. I was at Adrian's headquarters yesterday. Very nice and passionate person.... Its a scary place to be : about 500 instruments ... Literally EVERYWHERE ... I saw all of you guys new basses hanging on walls. Not played them of course. Wouldn't dare. They did around 400 Customs last year and are already around 40 for 2016.... daaaaaaammmm i recommend to anybody to go and drop by
10. that's a very sexy bass ! i'm still impressed every time I see one of their basses ..... such quality for stupid money....
11. well said Charlie ... pisses on a LOT of Vintage stuff out there costing 5 times your or mat's ones..
12. Hi all , I know a bit Adrian , he and I are chatting often as we work together. I can safely say he is so passionate about his company and his Job... he will NEVER sell to anybody. There's actually 17 people working and living thanks to his basses. They have experienced their best year so far in 2015 by building more than 500 Basses and something like 368 custom O_O ....
13. a "proper" one now being 5K and upwards... I'd say its a fair alternative....
14.
The trouble is I like them all...
i understood long ago there's no such things as too many basses...... always a reason to have more ..
15. withdrawn , bored of people making ridiculous offer or asking "whats the lowest you'll go" etc... sorry to disappoint people but that bass is worth more than 1950 euros ...
16. in my opinion they are the best thing money can get (unless you have many K to spend on other stuff) they are cheaper and in the same quality range as some other much more expensive things. Go for it , won't be disappointed ;-)
17. not cheap lol ... ... priced the same way as a Celinder From new...
18. Hi , I got one. He has a very special thing going on... They are devastatingly well made. Probably some of the very best I have seen.... I do agree that there's a Celinder Vibe. The sound is quite "vintage" to my ears but in the end those words are soooooo subjective .. i hate to use them. Tom Stenback told me the Pickups are very close to 60's position. As far as I know there's a pre amp being designed and will be offered as option in future... Tom also came up with a tuning thing , which is a round of metal being screwed inside the cavity ...I would guess about a 100 gram. To "tune the bass" ... its hard to explain as i was skeptical when first hearing about it but without it my bass is basically dead..... the tuning weight makes it more "bouncy" and "alive" ... it does work !!!!! ... They are very sweet people and offer top quality service ... Tom is a very busy man and a bit "on and off" but his wife Johanna is very responsive on Facebook and always keeping things on top of it! All in all they are mega top jazz style instruments , not cheap but that's to be expected with somebody making 20 to 25 basses per year ... i wouldn't hesitate in a sec... As some of you know (or not lol) I'm now a dealer / distributor in Brussels Belgium , understand i DO NOT distribute or "work" with the Stenback Family ... I just think they are great basses supported by great people .. and overall we are only stronger as a group ! cheers
19. Dear all , I would like to inform you that I will be becoming a dealer for Adrian's basses. This is put for full transparency. I will deal in Belgium. You can find me on Facebook under Pierre Ganseman , The company will be called Bass Freaks SPRL (go and like it if you wish... Its still empty as this is the very very beginning) People who know me know very well that I don't bullshit whatsoever... I will be available for any chatting through Email on [email protected] or Facebook. I am still on the fence about being active in this thread any longer as I have seen people being stoned for less on this Forum... but who knows maybe i'll be fine Peace to all.
20. "like a fool i forgot to add : NO TRADES AT ALL !"
21. Would have to agree ... while high end is nice (you don't wanna see my house lol) ... in real life a factory made P bass with half decent pickup will do the job more than fine. I have Squire JV P and no need to change anything in it ... sounds great as is and has more character than a lot of high end P you can find... in the end this high end thing is so much fun but most of it is bollox ...
22.
In 32 years the 3 Fender jv,s that i've come across have all been magical instruments ,nice weights ,really well constructed and big sound . This looks a lovely example ,good luck with the sale ,though i think you'll regret selling it.
somebody else making sense... ah this thread is improving
23.
great bass!!! why are you selling this.....? Easily one of the best JVs I've played, much better than most of them and a rare colour... a great touring option for a pre cbs tone and feel without the price tag. good luck man, maybe just sell it to me instead...?? Dave
finally somebody making sense ! ah !

25. This is a FENDER JV 1982 ! nothing similar with a MIJ or a CIJ! This being a candy red bass is a PB62-75 (i got the same in LPB) "superior" or "inferior" is pointless as completely subjective... Fender JV had a lot of options and instruments totally UNAVAILABLE to Squire / Export range But i've already said all this
