  1. well its still not bad in the custom world ! however demand is raising ... its been crazy in last 12/18 month.
  2. lead time is about16 20 weeks now. + - used to be 8 .... not so long ago
  3. heyyy its my pic ! ! just send email to adrian, the configurator is really time consuming to setup so they cannot do every single possible option in the world. they do still do old fashion / style orders where you write emails and all
  4. for full disclosure .. i have 3 of my own lol .... that's how much i believe in the product lol
  5. Thank you Man. I only try.... terrific bass, you bought it 2 days before the demo came out lol ...
  6. Hi , i started working with Adrian about 2 years ago and the lead time for a custom bass was around 8/10 weeks (roughly). Its now up to 16/20 I guess (if you keep in mind those are made to order only , so delays can happen i suppose. That's just the way it goes....). And prices have gone up to kinda control demand (even if Adrian is not about money, he told me he would never build a 5k JB). Factory has recently expanded to be able to use all machines at all times (in previous place while X was using machin Z, Y couldn't use machine B) and keep up with orders. 1st time i went to Public peace (about 2 years ago too i suppose) it was literally FILLED UP with basses. My DREAM place to be ....probably about 500... not sure. Well its now getting emptier and emptier. Every time we go there's less ... (im about 90 minutes away i guess) ... starting from 4 instruments in 2005.... proof with patience ... anything can be done. 4 instruments , 3 luthiers , a Factory about to go under... 13/15 years later there's around 450 custom bass per year (600 total , around that) and about 14 luthiers full time... Amazing success story and i got so much respect for the boss for that....
  7. wouldn't surprised me that much coming from them ... order one thing and get another
  8. built for me around a zillions years ago , its 32 inch , macassar ebony top ...
  9. Adrian is Off to NAMM show Monday with Wojtek and I guess his daughter and another person fromPublic peace.
  10. didn't know they even made fretless version of that O_O
  11. bad and lethal thingy indeed
  12. wow not keeping it long then O_O .... give it more love
  13. is this your own build man? or got it used?
  14. yes , i'd have to agree. I've heard of troubles happening in the past on orders
  15. I'm not gonna answer for them but i've seen drastic differences in "buzzing" (usually on open strings) with more winding. I'd personally advise the full lengh of the peg , or about 3 turns + .... and then wonder about the rest (string tree or whatever, even if that's too a very small fix either way)
  16. string winding before anything is my advise.
  17. Maruszczyk standard heads are slightly angled so you specifically do not need one of those but you must have enough winding and sometimes some minutes of nut filing are needed.
  18. "isn't much" is hard to say but can be yes indeed ..... so try changing strings and put enough (more?) winding around the peg before going for nut filing
  19. all you need is a round file and 76 seconds. Take off the string and carefully make the nut "deeper" on the A string. Step by step ... until it goes away. I have had that 3 times on customers basses. 1st one went to a local luthier and got told it needed a refret / levelling for 300 euros. Adrian sorted it in 39 seconds at his HQ. do make sure you have enough winding around the tuning peg.
  20. hard to say. 1st time i hear about such problems as a dealer and a customer however if bass was bought used i suppose its hard to know what happened to it before you owned it.
  21. Martin Petersen at the Gallery is still one of the very best I have met. If somebody can fix it in the UK its definitely him. If you wanna order a new neck be aware they'll need the Body anyways.
  22. beautiful stuff. This is a 62-98. The same principle as your bass but in 62 RI. CTS , NITRO , Fullerton Pickup
  23. The only ones who haggle are the Americans. They're the only ones making offers below dealer price on a very regular basis. Last one offered me 1240 USD on a 2000 USD Elwood I have in stock. And then gets sort of offended when i turn him and starts PM's me on Reverb swearing he's gonna give it a good home.... Actually not even "haggling" in my books , just plain rude and offensive
